That was exactly my point dude. People are protesting even without watching because of the trust deficit. At this point of time people are gonna calm down only if we start developing alternate versions of history and not just JNU historians having a monopoly over the narrative. Otherwise every historical movie will meet same fate.

You are just the Rahul Ishwar of Guntur.

Yeah, madrasahs have no place in modern India either. Quran can be taught in Muslim schools as moral education.

I don't want mere rhetoric from her. These people were challenging her on her turf. She should have unleashed her storm troopers, also known as Kolkata police.
That would have been fun.

I wonder why the deification of sati/jauhar aspect gets no focus. I know lost causes and massacres make for great stories but my sickular education always talked about the how it was not an abhorrent practice. Or was banning it the evil Britishers attempt to destroy Hindu pride?

This padmavati circus has gone too far now. I watched a debate show on news where some rajput maharani was saying that how could bhansali show the padmavati in bedroom with raja. These people have gone totally mad. Anyways if it releases then nobody can ban it in kolkata.

Or was banning it the evil Britishers attempt to destroy Hindu pride? Jauhar at least had a context in the middle ages. The women would not have wanted to be ravaged by the infidels when defeat was inevitable. According to Rajputs, Sati was a great thing. They loved in more than the rest of India and tried to practice it as late as the 1980s (official record). Evil Britishers did indeed destroy Hindi pride. That filthy sickular Bramho Bong Rammohan Roy aided them.
