Instead of a random Reddit user, Warner should just have a press conference confirming and denying every rumor circulating the production of their upcoming slate of DC movies. It would save them a lot of trouble to do so. They're probably just gonna keep waiting until next week to see how JL fares.

Joss Whedon is pretty much my favorite director, and I would have seen this movie with him.....but yes, absolutely he should have been fired. The mentality that you display here is exactly the problem society needs to tackle. Everything that's going on is not just solely about the sexual harassment issues. It's the depravity and the whole sexual obsession that has created the breeding ground for the harassment and the assault. Until society realizes that it helped create all this, nothing will get better. This is the opportunity for society to maybe start a new page and realize what it was doing wrong. If people like you push back against that and called it "ridiculously out of hand," then there will be no progression. Except harassment and assault is not synonymous and not even correlated to infidelity. One is sexual actions taken against an unwilling person, the other is sexual action done with a willing adult. One is an act that goes against work/job regulations, the other has absolutely nothing to do with your job or work. Now, no one is saying that cheating is ethically or morally correct, we're saying your company/work has nothing to do with it and is completely out of line to fire you for it. According to several sources, he isn’t being fired over it. If you could get fired over having an affair, Ben Affleck would’ve never been hired to direct The Batman before he stepped down.

From now on before hiring a director, he should be tested to see if he ever masturbated, and if he did, he should never work again in his life

It is not synonymous but it is part of the same spectrum of not respecting people and treating them as sexual objects. Which is all the more relevant if your whole shtick is women's rights. Not to mention that to my knowledge Whedon has never apologized or admitted he did anything wrong. And all the people being fired right now - a lot of that has to do with the lack of morality of what they've done. I really doubt that the movie Kevin Spacey got erased and replaced from had a specific clause about allegations lobbed against him in the past. Not even Harvey Weinstein, though everyone under the sun can tell he's guilty, has actually been criminally charged yet. But there needs to be common sense and this problem needs to be tackled. And yes it seems he's not being fired after all, but again I would support them if they made that decision.

So if your whole "schtick" is women's rights, does that mean you think all women who've cheated also deserve to be fired from their jobs?

It is just more made up lies like the rumours about 'Wonder Woman' being cancelled or a mess, Ben Affleck quitting the DCEU after 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Gotham City Sirens' being cancelled which David Ayer had to speak out and confirm was false three times. Unless it comes from Geoff Johns or one of the people working on the movies I am not going to believe any movie is cancelled 'cause there are people who want DC to fail. If people want them to fail, it's because they're freaking awful.
