How did you choose your screen name?
(Credit where credit is due. Babestation posted this question on another site. The replies were wonderful. I'm posting it here because I haven't seen anything like it.)

My name is Kim and the word "goo" randomly popped into my head.

My parents gave it to me when I was born... Seems logical. I'd imagine my real name is probably taken. Plus, I'd feel a little weird having my real name out there.

There's a lot of Grahams out there. And even my full name isn't that big a deal. Turns out there's a minor dead celebrity with the same name, so if you google me you mostly just get pages about him anyway.

My name is Michael, and there is a bmx rider called Mykel Perkins, so I adopted that spelling for most of my usernames as it's pretty unique.

I cannot say mine on the forum because it will get removed, but DSDSquared is an object used for, let's just say, private bedroom stuff.

I was all about being called 'Jan the Man' 20 years ago. Back then, when I signed up for AOL, 'jantheman' was already taken, so I used 'janelsenor', thinking (erroneously), that 'el señor' was Spanish for 'the man'.
Anyway. It's funny to me now, so I just keep the handle wherever I post....

I had an indoor siamese cat (siam) who would quickly escape (hie) from the house if the door was left open.

My name is just a mash-up of Bartles and Jaymes and Bartleby the Scrivener.
I don't think there's any actual significance there. I just picked a name.

Horror movies and heavy metal music are my two favorite things, thus I combined the two to make my screen name.

My screen name came about due to a misheard quote. I used to watch a show called Just Shoot Me!, but at some point I stopped watching it. One of my friends at the time (who hadn't stopped watching the show) filled me in on what had happened and told me of this piece of dialogue that had supposedly taken place in one of the episodes I’d missed:
"We used to be friends, Dennis. Don't you remember when you called me during Buffy? When Angel found the chalice of evil?"
From that point on, I got a little obsessed with this "chalice of evil". I'd find ways of working it into things that I wrote for school, etc. It was just a silly thing that I liked the sound of for some reason. Anyway, I eventually ended up seeing a repeat of that episode and it turned out that the thing was in fact not called the "chalice of evil", it was called something else. But since I'd gone all that time thinking it was called the "chalice of evil", I stuck with that.
After watching the episode 'Scarecrow' in Season 1 of Supernatural, and seeing Meg's mug o' blood that she was talking into, I thought "the chalice of evil" would be the perfect name for that. It was after 'Scarecrow' aired here in Australia that I first started posting on the IMDB boards.

Fan of their music, part of a title of a good flick I watch every year, and I've been called one a time or two in real life.

Simply the initials of my first and middle names with last name. The same ID I used on IMDb. I was tempted to go with my other standard online name "captkirk42"
