Actually that's an interesting question. I don't know if you're asking this seriously or you're just taking another shot at DCEU, but I'm going to answer seriously.
I think it might be fair to say that Barry Allen as depicted in this movie might be high functioning on the spectrum. Some personality ticks, "needs friends", very intelligent, jittery, not focused, an almost child like awe of everything around him, phobias he has to overcome... These things could just be normal, but they could also be symptoms.
I wonder if they'd explore that in future movies? That could be interesting. I also considered the possibility that they'd play him gay too. I think a lot of people would freak, but frankly I think its time we saw more diversity.

I was asking in a serious way.

I was wondering that myself. He did seem liked he was on the spectrum.

I got the gist that he was more hyperactive b/c of his powers. One of the cartoons did the same for Wally West (I think it was The Batman. Remember that?.

They made Wally somewhat immature and they've put that on Allen's character, when Allen is actually supposed to be married and more mature. From the Comics to cartoons, TV show (although this isn't too bad), to movie they continuously screw around with the Flash character.

That was one of the best things about the new Power Rangers movie was making Billy Autistic. It showed they weren't afraid to do something different.

He's still adjusting to his powers which allow him to move at a much different pace than the rest of the world so he's not gonna be the patient type exactly, and his metabolism is super duper fast so he has to eat a lot, and sugar helps him too - I think in Justice League the animated series he had to have a crazy amount of sugar in his coffee.

I want to say no, but.... I don't want to play the blame game, but some scenes Joss added really skewed him in that direction

My guess is they wanted the best of both characters: Barry Allen's backstory and Wally West's more humorous persona.

Someone once described the reason Quicksilver is so pissy in the comics is he has to deal with a slow world. His brain is racing faster than most so just day to day is a royal pain.
Which I saw in Flash, only instead of being angry, he is trying to keep to his goal of becoming a forensics tech with the cops, but the accident has made that harder. It is harder for him to slow down
