At this point the D.C. Universe really needs to be rebooted. Not only have their movies been bad,but JL is stumbling at the box office. Stumbling. No one and I mean no one could have ever imagined a JL movie not making money and what money it's making isn't very much.
I wanted JL to succeed, but after the previews I saw I knew they had a bomb on their hands. How Wonder Woman somehow managed to be good is beyond me. I mean Wonder Woman felt like it had some thought behind it.
I don't know what the actual plan for Flashpoint is besides there will be time traveling and maybe fixing half of the problems the universe has, what is their actual goal with it?

Why do they need to reboot it?
Of the 3 out of 5 movies that have had poor reviews, Synder directed them all.
All they need to do is just move forward without him. They've barely gotten started and the actor choices have been pretty good except for Lex Luthor.

Watchmen and 300 may have been somewhat good, but they weren't exactly groundbreaking. I know Nolan personally wanted Snyder for the universe and I'm not exactly sure why. Flashpoint doesen't necessarily have to be a reboot, but like I'm hoping, it needs to fix the problems with the universe and almost needs to retcon everything that happened in Justice League.

That really doesn't make much sense...but that aside. There doesn't need to be a reboot and the characters are just fine, except for, as Scabab stated, Luthor. If they follow the comic, or even the animated version, Jason Momoa will be awesome as a "bad" Aquaman and if they can get Jeffrey Dean Morgan to reprise his Thomas Wayne character that would be superb casting.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that they are better off sticking with solo movies for couple of years. If they can manage to get a few of those right then maybe people will care a bit more next time they attempt a team up movie. General audiences don't care about the DCEU at the moment and rebooting it won't make any difference as far as they are concerned. They'll just go, "Meh, I'm not watching that either."

I understand why you say that, but I'm NOT a proponent of rebooting.
Let me use Spiderman 3 as an example: When that came out people said the movie was so bad that the franchise was over. Obviously Sony agreed. But I always thought that if they had just made a really good part 4, the audiences would have forgiven part 3 and just moved on.
Wonder Woman proves that point. People didn't hold BvS against Wonder Woman. Hopefully Aquaman will do well, as well as the other DCEu movies upcoming, and Flashpoint can be just a good Flash movie. Period.

That is pointless.
The X-Men franchise only did it because they wanted to make more faithful Deadpool origin, Weapon X, and Dark Phoenix. It didn’t have much to do with the brand being tainted like with the DCEU.

No, that wasn’t the reason. And Wonder Woman had a similar opening as JL. It made as much money as it did with its legs. Wonder Woman was a very important film for women.

People keep saying Robert Zemeckis which actually makes sense given the time-travel angle. But nothing's been confirmed.

^^^this^^^ Just make better movies from here on out. Wonder Woman (and the brighter direction that JL takes) is proof that it can be done;, and all will be forgiven. Folks still want good movies. DCEU, MCU, whatever. Give 'em good movies and they will forget the bad.

I don't know what the actual plan for Flashpoint is besides there will be time traveling and maybe fixing half of the problems the universe has, what is their actual goal with it? Here's the problem though... What would you reboot? Parts of it or all of it? If only parts, then which ones?
If all of it, how do you get the people that have worked on the previous movies to commit to working on a movie that basically undoes everything they've done?
"Hey, Ben, hey, Henry, we don't like your Batman and Superman so we're going to recast you. But we still need you to be in half of this movie where we basically create better versions of you and recast you with other actors. But we liked Gal Gadot so we're going to keep her. Sorry." How would that work?
And don't point to X-men First Class or Days of a Future Past as an example, because those were actually not reboots, but rather in-story "transitions" at best.

They just need new writers/directors to move in a new direction.

Why? 2018 is the perfect year to get there shit together. Get their creators and give them the freedom they need. Take their time to build Legion of Doom by making solo films. Simple.
