mysteries like those definitely intrigue me like those two who attempted to land in America before Lindbergh. Oh, do you mean? I remember first hearing about them... ..And since then, I have always wondered if any of these reports were true:

Of course many people can't forget the classic mysteries of "Amelia Earhart" and "Flight 19"...
I would still like to know, what happened to:

"(...)commonly known in the English-speaking world as "The White Bird" "
White bird is the literal word-for-word translation of Oiseau (bird) Blanc (white), so why the need for all that stuff about commonly known etc. ? And I click on the N1, and it says in the United-states, so the US is the English-speaking world in its whole?
Gosh I hate how so many sentences are worded on Wikipedia.
As for MH370, the disappearance in itself isn't quite as strange as how the investigation went down. France news had officials and even Holland questioned and it became obvious that the investigators knew early that the plane was in the air for quite a while after disappearing from the Air Control radar. It raised the question as why they withheld that info for a while? Half of it seemed to not get ahead the Malaysian authorities, despite signs that they were "struggling" with the process and the other half seemed to be that they didn't knew what to make of it.
Even today, we still can't get a definitive answer or have one possible explanations prevail others.
It seems like even today some info are still being held. The solution is either an incredible chain of events or they had a close encounter of the third kind.

Thirty years ago, there'd be some middle-of-the-road speculative sci-fi b-movie about this incident. Too sensitive an issue nowadays though.

I'm 31 so I can't really speak on what would have happened 30 years ago but which aspect do you think are too sensitive today? It might be because I am irreverent at times but is it for the families, since no corpse has been found? Or is it because most countries and agencies involved in the investigation would just unite and try to have the movie blocked? Or is it because the paranormal is somewhat of a fringe subject?
