and darkpast has been bringing this up a lot since its release, but is someone going to be fired over this? Snyder's gone and no one's gonna shit on a grieving father. I cannot see them blaming Joss Whedon since he's working as a director-for-hire doing what they wanted him to do. I mean, when John Carter, Mars Needs Moms, and Lone Ranger flopped, people lost their jobs at Disney over it.

They're just keeping it quiet until they are satisfied that JL can't do any worse. Maybe they will save the bad news for people until after Christmas.

Honestly i wish that WB would create a film studio for DC and Geoff Johns could run it like Kevin Feige. It seems like WB interference is the problem.

Rich Ross, the chairman himself, was the highest ranked.

Johns seems to be the guy that could save the DCEU. He's young and talented, but he needs room to breathe in order to succeed. WB needs to let go and give him complete freedom.

Johns is knowledgeable and talented, for sure; and a nice guy, I've met him at a cons. However I question if his studio knowledge and movie making skills are sharp enough. Johns and Feige started their careers similarly, but whereas Johns went into comics, Feige stayed in the studios and so has more actual studio and movie making chops.
I'm not sure I would necessarily jump at giving Johns the reins, at least not yet. However, IF there's a DC version of Feige I suppose Johns comes closest. He's one hell of a writer and knows the properties. Its his studio clout I'm hesitant about.
Christopher Nolan would have been best, and I would love to see him take a more hands on approach, even if only as a producer; but increasingly he seems to want to distance himself from the super hero movies.

www.nytimes.com/2014/11/10/business/media/alan-horn-rights-the-ship-at-disney-and-fortune-follows.html
it seems Alan Horn, who WAS the WB boss, ended up being the Disney boss. Maybe if he'd stayed at WB the DCEU would be doing better(?) lol
from the article: Alan F. Horn was pushed out by Warner Brothers in 2011 after a celebrated run as its film chief — too old, too out of touch, he was told. Toddle off into a happy retirement, he was advised. Read a book. Since then, Mr. Horn, 71, has achieved something rare in show business, if not in business over all: He has rewritten his own ending. Mr. Horn in 2012 became chairman of Walt Disney Studios, which he has helped turn into Hollywood’s most formidable movie operation...

James Wan is a smart guy who seems to know what makes a good movie. Why not wait to see what Aquaman looks like and maybe offer him and Patty Jenkins the job together?

Maybe a tag team? One who knows the industry and John takes care of the universe building. WB should let DC do their thing. Like Disney doing with marvel.
