I'm not a believer in God or God as we know it, but I don't disrespect people for believing. One of my Uncles is a respect oncologist, the other a brilliant high-paid attorney and they are VERY religious. Believing or not believing in God has no basis in evaluating intelligence. So bc they made it through grad school they are exempt from being insane? |

Chances are at least a few of them are religious. What do you do if you go to a town meeting? A lot of the people there probably would be religious too. |

tpfkar It's an understandable impulse and there's too many people I love who believe/want to believe in at least something more. As long as they don't demand reverence or push immorality and carry over with old days trying to pin secular life, and just aren't assh!les in general about it, then whatever gets you to sleep at night.

The burden of proof is on you if you want to claim that there is anything more than observable reality Unless you make a claim, whether overtly or implied, such as you did in your OP.
