I would personally prefer to see movies of Supergirl (Kara and Linda), Birds of Prey, Black Canary Zatanna, Raven, Batwoman, Starfire, Power Girl and Black Orchid before four movies of Harley Quinn but I have to say it is good to see Warner Bros giving an Aussie actress so many roles and a female character the spotlight for a change.
Margot Robbie Is Returning As Harley Quinn In An EPIC Way
We can't wait!
We all were impressed by Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in the film Suicide Squad, and have been awaiting her return as the complex character.
Now, it has been revealed that Margot WILL be returning as Harley in a very exciting way.
Margot has revealed that she is working on her own Harley Quinn movie with the studio, through her production company LuckyChap Entertainment.
Margot spoke to MTV News’ Josh Horowitz at a recent press tour for her new flick I, Tonya, to revealed the news of her female-centred Harley movie that she has been working on for over two years.
"I've been working on a separate spin-off for Harley for a while now.”
Margot revealed that her take on the story will give Harley the “girl gang” she needs.

Wait, How Many Harley Quinn Projects Is Margot Robbie Working On?
“I don’t think anyone knows what’s gonna be the next thing to happen.”
If you think you’re confused about the complicated web of Harley Quinn projects Warner Bros. has in the works, just wait until you hear Margot Robbie try to explain it. The Australian actress, who brought the villainous DC character to the big screen in last summer’s Suicide Squad, just shared details about another Harley Quinn project, this time a solo film that has nothing to do with all the other spin-offs floating about the ether.
“I’ve been working on a separate spin-off for Harley Quinn for a while now,” she recently told MTV, clarifying that the movie is its own discrete entity. “I don’t think anyone knows what’s gonna be the next thing to happen, but I think everyone’s keen to get Harley back on screen.”

So, let’s back up for a moment. After Suicide Squad became a box-office hit (despite some of the worst reviews of 2016), it was obvious that Warner would capitalize on its success with a few follow-up films. Robbie was easily the breakout star of the first film, so it was expected that she’d get her own Quinn vehicle. But instead of just one formally announced Harley spin-off, there have been rumblings of several projects, including, but not limited to, a Harley Quinn-Joker love story and a movie centered on female DC villains. These projects are unrelated to the upcoming Joker origin story that Warner Bros. is slapping together, reportedly with a little help from Martin Scorsese, and the straightforward Suicide Squad sequel that will be written and directed by Gavin O’Connor. “There’s a lot going on right now,” the actress told MTV. Just a slight understatement there, Margot.
It’s already been established that Robbie, currently making the awards-season rounds for her performance in I, Tonya, is one of the busiest stars in Hollywood. She’s also signed on to produce a number of films, including the sci-fi thriller Augmented and a collaboration with Elizabeth Banks titled Paper Bag Princess, among the numerous other projects (including a potential starring role in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film).
“It’s really busy,” she previously told Vanity Fair with a laugh at the Gotham Awards. “We’ve got a TV department now too, and we just sold two shows.”
So there you have it: Margot Robbie is busier than you and everyone you know. Except maybe Michael B. Jordan.

MARGOT ROBBIE IS DEVELOPING HER OWN 'TOTALLY SEPARATE' HARLEY QUINN MOVIE
PRODUCED BY ROBBIE, THIS ONE WILL BE ALL ABOUT HARLEY AND HER 'GIRL GANG' (BUT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GOTHAM CITY SIRENS)
Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn left quite an impression on moviegoers (and Warner Bros. executives) last year. The unhinged troublemaker made her big-screen debut in David Ayer's heavily maligned Suicide Squad, and while the film itself failed to impress critics, Robbie's electric performance was a rousing success. Months before Amanda Waller's Task Force X hit had even theaters, the studio fast-tracked its first Harley Quinn spinoff feature starring the Gotham City Sirens. A year later, an "insane and twisted" Joker and Harley flick was announced.
Now, Robbie is developing a "totally separate" Harley Quinn movie of her own with the studio via her LuckyChap Entertainment production company. (If you're counting, that's three Harley Quinn movies in development, plus a Suicide Squad sequel and an animated series in the works.) Speaking to MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz at a recent press day for I, Tonya, Robbie revealed that she's been working on her female-centric Harley movie for the past two years.
"I've been working on a separate spin-off for Harley for a while now," she said, adding that her take would give the wacky DC villainess the "girl gang" she was so desperately missing in Suicide Squad. "I want to see her with other women," Robbie said. "I kept saying it while we were filming Suicide Squad. I was like, 'She needs her girlfriends.'"
WHO SHOULD PLAY CATWOMAN AND POISON IVY IN THE GOTHAM CITY SIRENS MOVIE?
Honestly, that sounds like a brilliant idea. If the success of Wonder Woman proved anything, it's that female narratives told the right way, by female storytellers, can be critically and commercially successful at the box office. And when it comes to Harley Quinn and all of the other badass women in Batman's rogues gallery, there's a lot of potential. Not to mention, Harley really needs a girlfriend who can tell her to dump the Joker.
Still, Robbie isn't quite sure which of Harley's multiple spinoffs will be first into production. Though, she's confident she'll be stepping back into Harley hot pants sometime next year.
"I, honestly, don't think anyone knows what's going to be the next thing to happen, but I think everyone's keen to get Harley back on screen," she said. "So everyone is working on lots of different versions of what that could be."
