This gonna be hilarious, especially seeing how she barely did any acting in WW.

I like her as WW...but if true this is just stupid. She fits the character, yes. But best actress? That's a bit of a joke.

Ryan Reynolds was nominated for a Golden Globe too, so I don't see no harm in this. She's a great Wonder Woman. Also, thanks for the picture. She possibly has the hottest smile.

She was a great Wonder Woman, but it was nowhere near an Oscar-caliber performance.
The Oscar's are a sham. The only way they can earn some of my trust back is giving Dunkirk the award (not just the nomination) for Best Picture.
Edit: was just informed that this was for the Golden Globes...guess I should've read more closely. But still, the Golden Globes are a sham as well.

She managed to score positive nominations just for her BVS appearance, and almost no one liked that movie. I can't see the Oscars but a GG nomination sounds reasonable.

While the movie was good it's not award worthy outside of a Teen Choice or MTV Award show. Same goes for Gal Gadot as an actress. If I remember right didn't they make the actresses around her try and mock her accent in order to try and make it easier for Gal to sound natural as an actress and to make the Amazon's sound similar? Doesn't sound like anything award worthy as an actress.
Also if Gal Gadot gets nominated and Patrick Stewart or Hugh Jackman get over looked for their performances in Logan then it's just laughable and total BS.

I stopped following the Oscars after Nick Nolte got robbed of Best Supporting Actor for his role in Warrior with Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy.

I think she's wonderful(see what I did there?) as Wonder Woman, but Best Actress of 2017? She wasn't *that* good, and honestly I do not see Gadot exploring that many other kinds of roles beyond action heroines in the long run.

The only time I pay attention to them is if I have some sort of betting pool going on with a group of people. Otherwise why do I care about the awards for a bunch of movies I haven't or will never even watch? It's not like a movie winning best picture or something all the sudden makes me want to watch it. I still regret watching La La Land.
