I've been hearing that the "not what you expect" concept of Phase 4, might include some period piece films.
So let's say Cap does die, they might do a WWII film with Evans about a particular mission. Or an Ant Man Vietnam film with a young Hank Pym.
I actually really like that idea. It would be fun as hell to get a few flashback pieces to outline the past.

Whacky idea but id like to see a Marvel 1602 film having really enjoyed the comic. May be Doctor Strange time travels to the past in another universe to witness the same heros in the 15th century.

Budapest... Dreykov's daughter... Sao Paolo... #teamcolden I have to be honest. I've never felt any urge to have whole movies about that. It was a casual line meant to imply a long history, and not something they had any intent to explore.

If they get the rights to Fantastic 4 they should set it in the MCU but in the 1960's.

I always thought if they were going to change actors, 1602 would be the way to restart. I've been wanting this story done live since I first read it! I'd also love to see Red Son and New Frontier.

Also, Disney could give the rights to The Lone Ranger to Marvel and let them do it right for a change.

So be prepared. And I know you will love it. A late 90's/early 00's BW movie is what I need. #teamcolden

I've always said if they did one it would have to be after phase 3 when they could do whatever they wanted, and not before that. I just never felt her character could build to anything significant, but after Avengers 4 it won't matter.

Actually I would like to see Marvel leave the coherent overall storybased movie schedule and go wild in all directions and dimensions. And in the end still tie some stuff together when we least expect it. They can. They should. They will? #teamcolden

Ghost Rider lends himself to every period you can imagine.

I'm totally cool if they do stories that aren't building towards long term goals, but to just start abandoning continuity completely isn't what they're all about. They might do a film or two like that, but I seriously doubt they'll just forgo continuity.

A 60s styled spy movie or a WW2 adventure flick would be sweet.

Ghost Rider lends himself to every period you can imagine. A old west Ghost Rider film with Carter Slade as the lead!

They don't really need to have any tie ins though. A Co-worker once brought up that he would have loved to see a "Proto Avengers" film that could take place in the 60's or 70's. He wanted Hank and Janet Pym as founders for it.
