I love that idea. For any of these things though, I'd just want them to be in official continuity. They don't really need to have any tie ins though. A Co-worker once brought up that he would have loved to see a "Proto Avengers" film that could take place in the 60's or 70's. He wanted Hank and Janet Pym as founders for it. I could see that. Pym was pretty covert, so it would be like a special ops team of sorts that didn't get into any truly heavy shit. But who else would be on that team? Original human torch?

I like it I thought about a young Nick Fury, but wasn't sure what year he was born and when he served in the military. It would tie in more with his line in the end credit scene in Iron Man. Not sure who I'd go with as a antagonist, but since we introduce the magic side of the marvel universe maybe someone from the Ghost Rider or doctor strange rogue gallery.

The flood gates have just opened on the possibilities. It's amazing to think how many toys they have in the sandbox now.

Especially since we know Asgardians visited the Earth multiple times.

I've been hearing that the "not what you expect" concept of Phase 4, might include some period piece films.
So let's say Cap does die, they might do a WWII film with Evans about a particular mission.
An Invaders film would be great. It might ruin the continuity of the later films, so Union Jack in there instead of Cap.

The Invaders were basically The Avengers of WWII - Cap America, Bucky, Namor, Human Torch & Toro. With Caps (and Buckys) whole WWII involvement covered in First Avenger, if they wanted to keep it within the MCU they might have to change the line up. Union Jack was an occasional member (his alter ego is James Montgomery Falsworth, the English guy in the Howling Commandos in First Avenger). But there are others that also appeared. Even Wolverine could slip in there with the Fox purchase....and we know he fought in WWII!

The Fantastic Four in the 60s, Pym during the Cold War (70s and 80s), and a young Nick Fury during the 80s and 90s.

Folks on this thread have been talking about Pym in the 60's but that would not fit the timeline established in "Ant-Man" It showed old video of Pym in the 80's I believe. So I think the 60's would be too early.

Pym might have been around for awhile right? I mean he would have been a young Pym in the late 60's, but the flashback in Ant Man he's already IDK 47? So in the 60's he would been early 30's and could have certainly been around.

He'd have been in his thirties during 70s, since he'd have to be been born during the 40s. He'd be University/Military Conscription age during the 60s.

A decent thread idea that I even enjoyed participating in.
Bumping because I'd like to see others contribute ideas!

I have it on good authority that Thor 4 will take place in 30,000 BC.
