With NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm promising to walk into CZW's Cage of Death to give someone a chance to make history, that's exactly what happened.

After shocking the world at Combat Zone Wrestling - CZW’S Cage of Death, the new NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis and his manager the legendary Austin Idol had cameras follow them home to record this special first message fro the new NWA Champion after defeating former NWA Champion Tim Storm.

In this message, Nick Aldis wanted to thank all the fans for the overwhelming warm support of his championship victory. Also Austin Idol delivers gifts sent to the new NWA Worlds Champion by wrestling fans, promoters, and even wrestlers hoping to gain an audience with the new champion. Even revealed is the bonus that the promoter gave directly to Austin Idol for Nick Aldis.

I don't think CZW is a NWA affiliate. I think Billy Corgan is attempting to make The NWA World Heavyweight Championship of World Title of all independent promotions.

That's an interesting concept. I think what hurt the NWA for a long time is they just let anybody in that was willing to pay the dues. I went to some NWA independents years ago and it was groups that couldn't draw more than 100 people. They shouldn't have been allowed to be members and it didn't do anything for the organization overall.
