before the territorial waters were



almost microscopic in size
floating
as
the waves sighed
we
would
lounge on the beaches of the world
two big girls
sharing whale secrets
and
tales of starfish dancing.


giggling
as the map makers 
came
and jealousy
became
all the rage.


so now we play
cages among the sages
pretending
they
are free
whoa to the map makers
who
have eyes
but shall never see.
