Now others can share my crazy. I did that once, but I'm very squeamish about blood and the experience made me feel nauseous as my blood pressure dropped. I know it's something that ought to be done, but it's difficult to bring myself to go back and do it again.

I did it last week. It was the second time this year. My blood pressure is a bit high, so I had no problem with nausea.

They phone me every few months to see if I want to give blood again.
Alas, they have a dumb rule about not giving blood if you got tattooed within 6 months.. that pretty much rules me out most of the time.

Normally people just throw a couple dollars in the collection plate, but thanks.

You donated blood, Prog? Well, bully then! Bully for you, sir!
I was hoodwinked into donating blood once a few years ago. I'll probably never do it again.

You donated blood, Prog? Well, bully then! Bully for you, sir! I was hoodwinked into donating blood once a few years ago. I'll probably never do it again. They had to change arms as my left arm was not pumping enough blood to show a vein. The nurse had to manually get my blood moving along in my right as it was too slow for the machine to handle. Prog is dead inside. 😎
