Hi Admin, this morning I woke up and I couldn't get onto IMDbv2.0 on my phone without getting the message 'you have been banned from this forum'. Eventually I was able to enter the site through a link to a thread and I was able to make this thread. I kept thinking if I said something wrong to someone, but I honestly can't remember anything that may get me banned. Maybe it is a bug? I heard that similar things also happened with other people.

Maybe it was because I was using a different (public) wi-fi this morning since I don't have the problem anymore when I switch to my personal wi-fi. I'll let you know if I experience any problems again.

I'm getting this same error. I was using IMDB2 from my work computer yesterday just fine, and then with no issues at home. Now I'm using the same work PC and getting this message fairly regularly...

This has to be an error. Because someone complained on the Random/annoying thread that they get no notification and they can't contact the admins to find out why.

Maybe this is the beginning of the end of Net Neutrality.

IF they were BANNED from the forum, how could they post to complain about being banned ? but, all that aside ADMIN can be tagged at any time ( just like mere mortal on the forum) and he always responds.

Hi, kevin … This happened to me early on. (It was my cell phone, not my computer, that said it, though.) I wrote to Admin, and it was because of something having to do with IP addresses. Admin ?

Guess it was just a matter of luck.

It's happening on my PC, too. I get the message probably 50-60% of the time. If I wait a few moments and reload, it lets me in. I never get the message on the mobile device, nor does it happen (on the PC with the private IP address) with any other ProBoards forums I'm a member of.
