Just finally saw this after 10 years. I was very eager to see it and how it relives the original in a modern time. I liked the young Myers backstory because it focused on his childhood days and dwells deeper on smaller detail that we saw in the original. But I really wanted to enjoy the second half as that was the segment I was most eager to see. It would have been fun to see how it would come out to present times. Everything was fine until they had to turn the climax in to the 'texas chainsaw massacre' style ending chase.
And why does every women have to show her boobs before she is killed? I don't mind seeing them but at that sort of time it kills the horror feeling. Danielle Harris wasted with small screen time. Can anybody tell me what song was playing when she was having sex with that guy when Myers was sneaking up on them?

One of the best of the horror classic revisions. I liked hell enjoyed what Zombie did here especially with Myers and Loomis. McDowell was the perfect fit for this reimagining of Loomis. Good seeing Harris as well. The kills were really good. Story as well.
Now when Zombie did Part 2 thats a whole other story and he turned something from greatness to utter garbage. Nothing about that one appeals to me. Disgusting film experience.

This movie was atrocious. The entire point of the original Halloween was that there was no explanation for Michael's psychopathic tendencies. Rob Zombie's version shovels on the reasons, everything from a drug-dealing stepdad to a stripper sister. And Michael's a little punk himself, with obviously very serious emotional issues. Any great wonder that he becomes a killer? It's just trash.

The were some many things I would edit if I made this movie again. And how did Harris survive exactly? She was attacked by him dammit.
