it was a horrible year for Marvel Comics. 2017: The Year Almost Everything Went Wrong for Marvel Comics
Marvel has got to work on their publishing division in 2018. Their track record for the last 5 years has been abysmal. Now they're canceling three of the only books I read on a regular basis. It's not the diversity movement that killing them. That ethos made "All New, All Different" possible. The problem is that the new characters are usurping the powers and legacies of older characters.

They'd be smart to create brand new superheroes so that they could have new characters to adapt in ten years time.

I'll never understand the idea of replacing current characters with women and minorities. It makes no sense. Having more female and minority characters in comics and Hollywood is a great idea- So just create some! Why introduce a new minority Spiderman or a female Thor when you can just create new characters! Same with things like Ghostbusters. Don't do an all female remake- just try to actually create a new comedy classic with all female comics in the spirit of Ghostbusters. It's actually counterproductive for diversity.

There's the issue. You have a thing called logic and you care about stuff like good story-telling and natural progression as much as you do about diversity in fiction. These idiots running the comic book branch of Marvel only care about the latter.

Did I say that either was great because somehow, I don't recall that. I do recall saying that it was a great year for the MCU, as in a great year overall. You should read the OP. I never said word one about Iron Fist or Inhumans. Besides, despite all the mock outrage, IF is getting a second season so it isn't the abject failure haters want it to be. And, Inhumans was never anything more than a throw away - a speed bump on the road to MCU domination.

The problem is that the forces behind "diversity" DEMANDED the "status quo" needed to be eradicated. So the Avengers line-up was a black girl as Iron Man (THE BIGGEST MARY SUE IN HISTORY), a black Spider-Man, a Korean Hulk, an androgynous Captain marvel and a female Thor.
besides, that article seems to forget some comic boo writers took to twitter to insult fans and call them sexists and racists while demanding money.
But Axel Alonso is out, and hopefully that shit-phase of comics is done

Worse than when they made Peter the clone and Ben Reilly the real deal? Worse than when they made Red Hulk? Carol's been around since like the 60s, IIRC. Jane Foster has had the power of Thor before, no one minded.

^ I think there's a difference from temporarily having Thor's powers and completely replacing Thor.

Lord Death ManAnd Iron Fist was likely the reason why Defenders had such low views.

Lord Death Man And Iron Fist was likely the reason why Defenders had such low views. Which has little bearing on my assertion that the MCU had a good year overall. Even their shows that had mediocre or bad reviews were renewed for a second season. Stay on topic.

Not a bad year, but I wouldn’t call “great” overall.

Yeah. Marvel haven’t been very good with comic books lately. I have only continued following a few series like SpiderGwen and Spider-Man over the past year but 2016 and 2017 were two of the best years for comic books in recent times with the returns of Witchblade, Hack/Slash, Fathom, The Magdalena, Belladonna, The Ravening and Sheena: Queen of the Jungle and awesome series of Red Sonja (Amy Chu), Vampirella, Hack/Slash/ Vampirella, Sunstone, Monstress, Detective Comics Rebirth (The Spoiler and Clayface are stealing the show), Batgirl, Saga, Rat Queens, Bombshells, Batwoman, Nightwing, Soulfire, Aspen Universe Decimation, Vampblade, Lola XOXO etc. 2018 is going to get even better with the returns of Cyberforce, The Darkness and the new Aphrodite IV and the Witchblade/Top Cow universe is coming back big time and we could see Witchblade dethrone Wonder Woman as the biggest selling female lead comic book series of all time!!

Honestly, I don't think you have a point at all so much as you have a contrarian opinion for the sake of having a contrarian opinion. Your quoted statement is ambiguous at best, or at the least, it's an intentional misrepresentation of my original post.

Hij was maar een clown, in het wit en het rood Hij was maar een clown, maar nu is hij dood De herinnering blijft aan die clown met zn lach die bleef tot het einde, tot aan de laatste dag
