Why make such a big deal of Raven being cast and no one else and not make her story a big part of it?

Titans is not DCEU, which is good. Supposedly they are working on their own DCEU Nightwing film.
Trigon is going to be in this sooner or later because Raven is cast. As is Deathstroke making an appearance, though DCEU plans might stall that.
