That would be a lot of work to create and maintain...too much time I believe. I'm sure if you have a specific movie/TV you want, the "powers that be" would consider your suggestion.

I saw the subs for classic TV shows from the 60,70 etc and thought this would be good for SW. I miss going to a movie in IMDb and jumping to that particular movie board. Even with the trolls

This site is even better! You can search movies, rate them, review them... Each movie has its own board and there is also a main forum for general discussion. On the left of the movie profile page there is a chat bubble. Click it to enter that movies message board. Spread the word! www.themoviedb.org/movie/181808-star-wars-the-last-jedi

I'm not sure it's necessary. Movie-specific boards generally venture into the off-topic realm anyway, so I think it's better to set up franchise-specific boards. One for Star Wars, one for DC, one for Marvel, etc. Otherwise, you're going to have a ton of movie-specific boards with very little content in each.

Is having "a ton of movie-specific boards with very little content in each", really such a bad thing?
Many people claim they hate the prequel trilogy films. By putting prequel trilogy film threads on their own sub-board or sub-boards. Original Trilogy fans won't have to sort through those threads to find and read Original Trilogy threads.
I don't really mind any of the films, but I know if I wanted to discuss a specific film, weeding through "8" other films worth of threads would be a pain.
And what If I wanted to ask a specific question about C-3PO from "Empire Strikes Back". Starting a thread about "C-3PO", might result in discussions from all of the other movies, and bog it down with OT questions. and If I start a thread about "C-3PO In Empire Strikes Back" there may only be a couple of responses and then we will have a ton of little threads all on one board... 9 just about C-3PO...

I agree with MCDemuth. I'll add Star Wars subforums for each movie. The general Star Wars board will always be underneath them for those who just want to post general comments and questions. When it was first asked, I wasn't paying attention to where it was asked and I thought he was asking for specific boards for every movie ever. Edit: I fixed it. Luckily it was cached and a couple of clicks on the back button saved the day!

Even if it's too much work to have boards for each movie, I think it's worth say having 10-20 boards at least for popular movies at the time.
Once the movies out and the board does down, get rid of it and replace it with another upcoming popular movie.
