WONDER WOMAN Scores A Producers Guild Of America Nomination As Oscar Buzz Ramps UpThe PGA is considered to be one of the most reliable Academy Awards precursors out there, and Wonder Woman's nomination has led to speculation that Patty Jenkins' film may be in line for some Oscar love.. The Producers Guild of America has announced its film and television nominees for the 29th annual PGA Awards, and Patty Jenkins' critically acclaimed Wonder Woman has been nominated for The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.
Because The PGA is generally considered to be a reliable gauge for which movies will receive Oscar noms (the PGA and the Academy have chosen the same best picture winner 75 percent of the time), many are taking this as a sign that Diana's first solo adventure could be a legitimate contender in the Best Picture race.

Remember when you said the Golden Globes was the best indicator that Wonder Woman would get an Oscar nomination...and it didn't make it onto their list.

It's only on there because in the aftermath of the Weinstein Scandal the other Producers realize they're on thin ice and want to appear less misogynistic by backing a female led movie.

Like I said, the PGA doesn't want to be seen as misogynistic so they're backing as many women-directed and women-led features as they can.

Here are the "odds" as the call them with all the Best Picture candidates. Wonder Woman ain't on the list, bub

Certainly a more reliable indicator than the Globes given how members of the PGA vote on the Oscars that being said if WW is a low ranked nominee here but isn't on the list for the other guilds it wont mean much, but then again good for WW, hell good for DC they sadly need as much good spin as they can get right now.

Surely it can't be that "Wonder Woman" got nominated for a bunch of irrelevant awards early on in the season because there wasn't a viable feminazi alternative to placate the SJWs? Surely it was being nominated on merit?

Maybe Star Wars trumped Wonder Woman by having more females that aren't just extras along with their female lead (and an Asian supporting female), as well as a couple black and latino guys as the other 2 leads. But that would be insane.

It was obviously never being considered for an Oscar.

Probably not seeing how once again a MCU film is nominated for an award also, poor DC-Fan everything he's been declaring for months turned to poop and the thing he hates is recognised for it's quality, its a bad day for the dude.

DCU fans totally need to petition the Academy over their sexist treatment of Israeli women. #We theIDF

Don't forget the cultural whitewashing...how many of them looked Greek!!!

Haha no oscar nominations for an average film and rightfully so It proves all the overpraise was coming from DC fans and SJWs. The first sign of a more Oscar friendly SJW alternative (Lady Bird) and WW gets thrown under the bus.
