Expect Episode IX to have a planet or two based on China fighting for the Resistance.

The Chinese complains about TLJ insulting their intelligence, and a couple sentences later, they say the actors aren't hot enough? Lulz.

Although TFA was somewhat modestly successful with $124 million in China, TLJ is only expected to make a dismal $50 million in China--way to go Disney It is bombing and will bomb in China. They liked TFA, which I guess proves how great a story is behind ANH. The storylines of ANH and TFA were essentially the same. They liked Rogue One. The more heavy handed portrayal of the origins of the Rebellion was well received. But TLJ: there are 5 foreign markets making more money than China's. On TFA and RO there was only one. And I can see why. Storylines in TFA proved to be insignificant, forgotten, or pointless jokes. The story was average at best. It was typical Disney repetitive formula: the virtuous warrior princess (not addicted to beyond the "Western world). The characters ranged from disappointing to dismal to marginally interesting. Unless you are a person who was already invested in SW or Disney storytelling, I can see how this movie could be unappealing beyond the visual universe.

And it's still the highest-grossing movie of 2017.

And it's still the highest-grossing movie of 2017. Yeah. That's not a difficult task for a Star Wars saga film that contains several Original Trilogy cast members.
