The original NES Action Set (1990?) with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt...
The last time I plugged it in, it still worked...
Sadly, as I understand it, the Light Gun won't work with modern TVs... But, the last CRT TV I tried it with, it still worked.
I have about two Dozen Games. (+ Game Genie)

All of the ones I purchased still worked.

PS2 PS3 Wii XBox 360 XBox One
Consoles I play:
XBox 360 XBox One
That's it. I haven't played any of the others, or even turned them on, in a couple years. I should probably get rid of them.

NES Super NES Nintendo 64 (paid $2 for it) wii Gameboy Advance SP "new" 3ds XL Nintendo Switch Dang, how did you manage to snag an N64 for $2? Good Will. North Charleston, South carolina. September 2014. They had no games, no TVs, no way of testing to see if they worked or not. Just systems for $2 and controllers for $1 so they sold them that low as "all sales final" in case they were broken. The friend I was visiting already had one and several games, So I bought it, tested it with his games. Worked. Mailed it home since i was living on the west coast at the time.

Currently:-XBox (at this point... I have five of these. all five are moded (two mod chipped, 3 TSOP(which acts like a mod chip since it flashes the BIOS so it can boot non-signed code)). but they collect dust at this point even though they can run games from the hard drive and emulators etc and my main use for it up until May 2016 when I finally upgraded my TV to a modern one, was for XBMC (XBox Media Center) which was great for playing movies on from it's hard drive etc. this is by far the best console when moded (especially for it's time) because of what it can do. it's still a decent device to use for those who have a older TV and don't mind SD video.) -Dreamcast (but it collects dust in basement. funny thing is, this plays burned games without any moding whatsoever) -Gameboy Advance SP (only got this, maybe 5 years ago, for purely for playing Tetris on original Gameboy cartridge) -XBox360 (moded ; but has been collecting dust for years now) I think that's pretty much all I still have at this point in time. p.s. I don't bother with consoles anymore and on the occasion I do play a game it's typically going to be on the PC since it's mainly shooter based games and I feel the PC's mouse+keyboard is simply far easier to use quickly/precisely where as a consoles analog stick is a chore to use. I am 38 years old, ill be 39 later this year so I remember the 2D to 3D transition pretty well which was pretty much about 1995-1997 time frame. At some point in time:-Atari 2600 Jr (this is the oldest console I can slightly remember using which had to be late 1980's(maybe a little into the 1990's) (I was born late 1979)) -NES (did not have this for long, maybe a couple of years or so in the early 1990's) -SNES* -Genesis* -N64 (I had this basically back when it was new until likely 2000 or 2001 I sold it to someone I worked with) -Sega Nomad (it's a portable Sega Genesis. I did not have this for long as it was a power hog (I think it used 6xAA batteries if I recall correctly) and the screen seemed to scratch pretty easily so I took it back and I think I got either the Sega Genesis console or SNES console.) -Sega Saturn -Original Gameboy -Sega Gamegear -PS1 -PS2 -Nintendo Gamecube (one of the worst consoles I owned. but thankfully I traded this to my younger cousin for his semi-faulty XBox (the DVD-ROM drive in it was semi-faulty) of which I took a gamble and installed a Modchip (Xecuter v2.3B Pro) and it paid off big time ) basically I had a pretty good portion of consoles between NES and XBox360. but obviously, not many had those super high end niche consoles which cost a arm-and-a-leg like Turbo Grafx 16/Turbo Express(portable system)/Neo Geo and the like because those where super expensive which made them rich people only consoles which pretty much stopped them from mainstream appeal on that alone (and mostly lacked games to). I think that's pretty much it. if I forgot anything it can't be much. NOTE: the "*" above means... I am pretty sure I had a SNES/Genesis at one point in time, or at least one of those two. but I am a little hazy on these two consoles to where I can't say I clearly remember too much on them as far as owning them. with all of that said... you can just use emulators on the PC to play games on N64 etc using XBox360 wireless controller. like Mario 64 using this graphics mod... forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-super-mario-64-hd-texture-pack-v1-5-2017-09-17 ; makes Mario 64 look quite a bit better on a modern TV since you can use HD resolutions and the textures are higher res to. so basically it looks modern but at the same time the game looks similar to the old days. basically the Mario 64 rom runs on Dolphin emulator in order for that to work on your PC.
