"She's a Cherry 2000, a robotic woman that becomes a man's driving passion... until he meets the real thing."In a not so distant future a successful businessman Sam Treadwell (David Andrews) suddenly one day ends up losing his wife (Pamela Gidley) due to a tragic accident. This causes him to put away everything else in life and team up with the tough but sweet bounty tracker known as E. Johnson (Melanie Griffith) in order to go out on a risky and dangerous journey in search of some spare parts, which might help him bring his beloved Cherry 2000 back to life.A fun filled little 80s post-apocalyptic adventure with a solid cast, lots of great stunts and cool special effects and all in all a very pleasant surprise when I first saw it a few years back. I decided to start up a thread, heavily inspired by the sexiest cyborgs in the general section and saw that somebody had "beaten" me to Cherry 2000 (Pamela Gidley) so instead I thought it was ok to start up one for the film instead. I thought the story was rather sweet, as we have this wealthy business guy with everything but a real female by his side, instead his and many mens take on the "dream woman" is made up on wires and spare parts, however Pamela Gidley did a fine job with what little time she got and I almost fell bad for Sam when the accident happens, but then he has to wake up and realize that no robot can replace the real deal and Melanie and David is a great team throughout the film. Beside the ones mentioned we also get to meet up with Brion James, Tim Thomersen, Robert Z'Dar and Larry Fishburne in minor parts. All in all, I really liked it and thought of it as one of the better late post-apocalyptic adventures of the 1980s and one which I can watch over and over again.

This is a pretty standard cheesy 80's scifi movie. Not bad really. Melanie Griffith is pretty good.
