Do you think a full length movie could be made out of this Stephen King short story? Would be tough to do since it's a one character story, and having a second character would defeat the purpose of the film. But it's SUCH a great and gross premise.

I would like to see a good film made me The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Basically a Stephen King one person novelette.

The movie would be really drawn out then, because it is a rather short story. But indeed, gross as hell, and it scarred me for life.

It would probably work better as a segment in an anthology or something. You'd need a fair bit of voice over to make it work, and I think that would get grating at feature length. But it might work if it was shortened.

Well, there was some tall of reviving Tales from the Crypt with M. Night Shyamylan (sp?) but I could go for another anthology movie with some decent production values and credible actors, with all the segments based on Stephen King short stories, a la Cat's Eye. It would be hard to imagine one of those getting a theatrical release though.
There was that Nightmares and Dreamscapes series from around 10 years ago or so I think. It would have been perfect for that.

Maybe they could flesh it out with some flashback background story. Maybe add a few 'Cast Away' elements to it. I'd also like to see a 'Girl Who Loves Tom Gordon' adaptation along with 'The Long Walk'. A better adaptation more faithful to the novella 'The Running Man' also.
