uk.ign.com/articles/2018/01/16/suicide-squad-2-rumored-to-be-ben-afflecks-final-appearance-as-batmanSuicide Squad 2 is rumored to be the final movie for Ben Affleck's Batman. According to Batman-On-Film, it's now looking likely Affleck's last stint as the Dark Knight may come in the Suicide Squad sequel rather than in Flashpoint, as reported last year. With Justice League's underwhelming box office performance, it's currently unknown if Flashpoint will get made, according to the site. It's also worth noting Affleck has worked with Suicide Squad 2 director Gavin O’Connor before on 2016's The Accountant, and had a brief cameo appearance in the first Suicide Squad movie. However, it's not known just how big of a role Affleck's Batman will have in the sequel, which is reportedly scheduled to begin filming in October of this year.

Why can't Affleck and WB make up their damn minds?

good riddance if true (never liked the casting to begin with) . HOPEFULLY Matt Reeves goes much younger for The Batman (an actor in his 30s would be perfect) and build a successful franchise around him . My choice...Garrett Hedlund.

Plese no, i don't need Batman there. His cameo in the first was unnecessary.

Is it hard for WB to hold a conference where they let everybody know what's going on with upcoming DC films, in particular Affleck's contract with Batman? This is all getting ridiculous.

The Good Riddance part is correct. The "HOPEFULLY" part is dead wrong. HOPEFULLY this is the END of the 'DCEU' and they get rid of this godawful turd of a "universe" and start over from scratch.

Thanks for sharing. I wasn't a fan of 'Suicide Squad' and thought 'Assault On Arkham' was a better movie but I heard they are going to add more characters and I am looking forward to seeing who they use. I would have said Deathstroke before but my money is now on Killer Frost. As for the Ben Affleck rumours I will believe it when I see it. There have been WAY too many rumours saying Ben Affleck is going to leave the DCEU and he never does and it is getting to the point where it is like all the rumours about TNA closing for the past ten years and every year the same people TNA is over and is closing down but it keeps going and going. People said the same thing about 'Supernatural' being cancelled but they gave up after Season 10.

I should have clarified that I hated the whole shared universe thing from the get go .

Perfectly fine with me. There should be a law prohibiting actors to play a leading part more than 3 times, it's lazy and greedy.

UGH I was hoping he would stick around for The Batman at least, lame. Oh well if he is in SS2 at least give him a sizable role like on Assault on Arkham.

Suicide Squad shouldn't be part of the DCU anyway, they should have their own universe. There is nothing they could be asked to do that Superman couldn't accomplish inside 5 minutes.

The Squad's purpose in the comics was to do Government Black Ops stuff that Superheroes wouldn't be a party to. The movie's argument of using them to fight superhuman threats was sheer stupidity.
