People seem to really really hate both of these Apple ads but which do you find most amazingly annoying? Perhaps you even like one or both of them. I mean it's possible I guess. What's a computer? Animaoji Yourself

I haven't seen that lip syncing one in a while. You're lucky. It's still in medium rotation here in Atlanta.

The this of 2017/2018. And equally annoying. More assholes did "Waaaaaaassssup" than "Dilly Dilly", but it doesn't make it less irritating. And at least I got the concept of whasup. What in the blue fuck is dilly dilly supposed to be? The next lump that says "Dilly Dilly" to me, I will gut from throat to crotch with a rusty butter knife. Hoping DD will die a quick death sometime after the Super Bowl. In the meantime, fuck off Anheuser Busch

Not ever close - - I think the girl is hot and the song is catchy in the second one. The "what's a computer" girl needs to be slain. She is cute but all that over expressing when she's lip syncing is a deal breaker. Then again I once stopped dating a girl because she did theatrical grimace frowns when she didn't like things. She was a freak, into bondage and even pulled out handcuffs on our first date and was hot if a bit thin. That over the top frown thing drove me nuts though. In retrospect I may have overreacted. Does anyone like that "what's a computer" kid? I have friends with kids in that age group (pre to early teens) and they all hate her too.

All wildly successful as because we are talking about them.
I met a real ad man from NYC once and asked him "Why do you people make such dumb ads?" He asked for an example. I brought up a stupid ad for Goodyear vector tires where the tire (no car, just a tire) rolls down the street and morons say "Hiya Vector" as the tire rolls by. Had to be early 80's. And he said "30 years later and your still remember the ad, the company and the product name." People who were around the will never forget "Where's the beef" was Wendy's, Max Headroom shilled for Coke ("Don't say the 'P' word") and "Great taste, less filling" = Miller Lite. Same as Flo = Progressive Insurance.

They've got to be two of the most cringe worthy ads on TV now. The emoji ad is easy to hate - but I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand that kid or was afraid to say it. I'm always scrambling frantically for my remote as soon as they come on - if I can't find it - I need to leave the room. Same goes for this Nationwide ad that's been playing all over sports channels over the last month:

Same as Flo = Progressive Insurance. I guess that's one way to look at it but it doesn't make me want to buy any apple products. I already own an iphone but no way I would upgrade to the 10. I have a friend that was hyped to buy the ipad pro that now refuses to buy one. He's the IT guy in charge of cell and tablet purchasing for his company and he requested a surface pro and unless it's a total failure thats what they will be purchasing company wide. It seems petty but I know of even sillier decisions made for even more petty reasons in business. There's a reason Apple has disabled comments on youtube for those products. Not to mention that poor homely kid will be insulted and ragged on and hear "what's a computer bitch" for years to come. The blonde girl will probably be okay though. I bet she will be asked to Kick it with her all night a lot.

As soon as I asked several friends if they had seen the ad their immediate response was "I f ing hate that kid. I want her to get jacked for that damn tablet" and that was the most benign comment. The nationwide ad doesn't tug at your heartstrings? Maybe buy some insurance for when you have kids?

The nationwide ad doesn't tug at your heartstrings? Maybe buy some insurance for when you have kids? It's hysterical you brought up that line, 'What's a computer?' I was seriously offended by it and found myself getting enraged every time it came on (which probably speaks volumes about myself ) I think it's like another poster brought up above - we're talking about it and that's the goal. Like the old saying, 'No publicity is bad publicity'. I mean - I get where they're going here - you brought up 'genderless' kid - yeah - they're trying to target all audiences - and it seems even those living in poverty who think they may not be able to afford a 'computer' or maybe even touching on nobody uses a 'computer' anymore (which infuriated me more). Just typing about it now is getting me agitated......brilliant marketing I guess since it's drawing out some emotion

They played that Animoji ad constantly during the NFL games this season. I want to punch everyone in the commercial including the obnoxious animated characters!
That ad with the kid sucks too. I hate the tech culture of living a day where 98% of the human interaction is through a computer screen. Also, whichever social justice/PR warrior cast that kid who looks like the bastard offspring/clone of Pat can go choke on that stupid tablet!

I kinda like the Dilly Dilly ads, but the What's a Computer ads grate on me so much that I've resolved to a) not allow myself to watch it anymore (I use my remote to change the channel til it's off), and b) I'll never buy another Apple product because I hate the commercial so much.

"What's a computer" by a mile. I don't even remember the other commercial, they must not have played it here much. But I want to punch that kid in the face and steal her iPad.

It's amazing - because I've grown to love Country Music and can even appreciate some women's country like Miranda Lambert - but i guess you just need to be in the right mood for it - if i'm watching sports - like you stating - really not interested in listening to an 'emotional' chick song with some broad stringing a guitar singly slowly where the first scene is a 'car accident' with a mom and her kid........

It's compounded for me because I hate Country Music. I made an honest effort to get into it. Failed miserably. Like the great man said, "it's gotta be Rock and Roll music". I hate the other ads with Payton Manning and the other hayseed.

I hate the other ads with Payton Manning and the other hayseed. i used to feel the same. used to think country was just southern twang about a guy drinking, his dog dying and his girl leaving him (and often times it is) - but there's some good stuff out there trying to think of something 'sports related' - this is all i can come up with - Brooks & Dunn - Indian Summer - girl gets knocked up by the high school quarterback in a motel and plans on running away together - he doesn't show up the next day - well - wait - that is rather depressing isn't it
