+/- Lord & Miller initially made this movie. The are noted for their offbeat but family friendly humor. There were always questions about whether their humor fit, or if it would be overdone.
- Lord & Miller filmed more than 80% of the movie before being fired amid rumors of big creative differences with Kathleen Kennedy and the chief writer Lawrence Kasdan.
- An acting coach was brought in for the actor portraying Han Solo.
- The portrayal of OT characters under Disney has been a mixed bag by standards of the fanbase. Most controversial being Luke Skywalker. So a cloud of skepticism exists for how Kennedy's influence might affect the the portrayal of Han Solo in this anthology movie.
+ Ron Howard was hired to do the reshoots. His reputation is an encouraging sign.
- Massive amounts of reshoots are being done. Considerably more than Rogue One, which was significantly beyond the ordinary.
- For the production problems this film has had you would expect the release date to be moved back. So far it has not been.
+ It seems Lawrence Kasdan has been given a lot of controlling authority on this film. He does have a good reputation for his contributions to the OT.
Thoughts? Comments? Any additional pluses or minuses?

the 21 Jump Street films are R-rated comedies I’m scared this will be GOTG3 ☹️ don't get sensitive nipples about it, hahahah Star Wars is still famous for it's huge turds; they created a penis. If it's GotG 3 Marvel, Disney and Lucasfilm could still do a dance of, turd-blossom style, bitch!
We are all Mary Poppins y'all!

- An acting coach was brought in for the actor portraying Han Solo. This has been my biggest concern all along. No matter how good or bad the writing is, no matter how good or bad the direction is, no matter how good or bad the story will be, (etc.), the thing that matters most in a Solo movie is that the actor is believable as Solo. Playing Solo takes charisma. Charisma is an inherent trait. It can't be coached. Just ask HC!

I heard the acting coach was ordered 2 make AE act & sound more like Ford. Not on the premise that AE cant act his way out of an elevator.

Solo looks a lot better than TFA or TLJ.

But what was Kasdan's reputation post ROTJ? Yeah exactly. He was given a lot of press for Empire and Raiders but I wonder if it was exaggerated. He hardly did anything genre related as well. It's not Kennedy one has to worry about-it's Disney management. They are making the decisions. Expect a young Han Solo who is more goofy and less assured, and relies on a lot of other people's opinions. Or jokes at his expense. I also wonder if the creative differences were planned (how many movies has Disney replaced the director on now?), and they always intended to bring in Ron Howard for additional marketing. Not to mention, Howard is known more for soft and tender heroes, not films about pirates or outlaws.

+I like Donald Glover and the "Would that it t'were so simple" guy as actors
-I don't know about their castings as Lando and Han
-This movie is utterly pointless
+Lord and Miller are known to turn utterly pointless movies into something surprisingly funny and smart
-they were replaced by "guy who films movies and sometimes they turn out okay" director extroadonir Opie Taylor
+Its crappiness will take the heat off TLJ for a few moments

But what was Kasdan's reputation post ROTJ? I liked Silverado. Once I paid attention to TFA's script, I lost all faith in Kasdan. He was the man I had trusted to handle Abrams.

I liked Silverado. Once I paid attention to TFA's script, I lost all faith in Kasdan. He was the man I had trusted to handle Abrams. Yep. And he only took on Solo to get his no-talent son a credit. So he's senile AND guilty of nepotism.

So he's senile AND guilty of nepotism. LOL! Yeah I noticed that in the production credits. I didn't even know he had a son before that. I guess we will find out if this is one more minus that contributes to this movie bombing... if it indeed does.
