While speaking with Comicbook about Wonder Woman, producer Charles Roven addressed the issue of a fluid timeline. Roven described how upcoming DCEU films will implement flashbacks to the origins of many characters — some of which may take the audience to other worlds entirely. But Roven suggested the possibility of more flashforwards happening as a way to build toward future storylines. “For example, the Justice League movie will take place in a universe that’s post-Batman v Superman, just like Batman v Superman takes place in a universe that’s post-Man of Steel. When we’re dealing with either The Flash or Aquaman, since they will take place in a universe that has happened after Justice League, the characters and the world will be informed by the movies that preceded them, except that there’s flashbacks or whatever within those particular movies, [and] flashforwards within those particular movies.” full article at Screenrant

And I thought the show LOST was confusing sometimes, and that was one show...
Nothing like confusing your audience, in a universe of films that are already doing poorly in the ratings... to make things worse...
The DCEU should just be rebooted, and give everyone their own origin story, before they all join together in a Justice League film.

Oh thank you god, it will be even more nonlinear and pointless.

yeah sure, why not. they've done flashbacks on numerous occasions, and AoU had a flashforward/vision to infinity war.

I'm so sick of those.

No, that's a lazy way out of having to tell anyone's stories properly. You're "tired" of individual superhero adventures? Then stop watching the genre and go away. People have been waiting for a Flash movie, Aquaman movie, and so forth for decades now.

I am not sure about the Wonder Woman movie either. I've always thought those characters were better as "supporting" characters... or only as "equal" partners, Like: Batman & Robin. Batman Movie = Yes. Robin Movie = No. Batman & Robin Movie = Yes.

No. Just no. These are some of the most recognizable faces in comic books. If Ironman can do well as a movie, so can The Flash, Aquaman, and The Green Lantern. It's all just a matter of getting good writers and a good director (and good actors). The same as any other film.

Oh thank you god, it will be even more nonlinear and pointless. Lost was critically one of the greatest television dramas of all time. It also produced filmakers like JJ Abrams.
