Right, so my thread on the subject got deleted, despite it being the first on the subject and a MOD saying it was OK and not a bait thread. This is getting ridiculous.

You may not have been around to see the massive off topic conflict that it became so rather than delete the vast majority of posts in the thread, I deleted it.

OK, so second question...did DC-Fan actually respond to the questions raised. Don't want to start another little war where I make acccusations that he is ignoring the subject, when he actually may have already responded.

I'm actually glad it turned out this way. WW was one of the highest grossing films of last year and that is worth more (especially in Hollywood) than any Oscar nomination. If WW had been nominated, the backlash would be that it was just used as a vehicle to promote the "Me Too" movement.

Same here, also I actually have faith that Jenkins could actually make a top notch Wonder woman film worthy of the awards especially as now she's not needing to rush into production, she has the time, she has the familiarity and is no longer bound by the constraints of telling an origin story, so WW #2 could be actually insanely awesome, and I would much rather her and the brand get the recognition for work that deserves it instead of a promotional ploy for a movement or agenda.
Plus one of the things WW did was open the doors for more female CBM's, female directors in blockbuster & franchise films and such, and it did set a healthy high standard to measure up to, no need to falsely inflate it and make it seem impossible for anything else to measure up.

He's still liking posts ...he has even made a couple...of course ignoring the WW/Oscar situation. Oh my, he really has taken this badly.
10 threads on the subject and yet not one acknowledgement of the situation. So sad.

the DCEU has already WON an Oscar
It's also already won the MOST RAZZIES of ANY superhero movie in history, thanks to Batfleck v. Pseudoman.

You may not have been around to see the massive off topic conflict that it became so rather than delete the vast majority of posts in the thread, I deleted it. LOL at all the jealous MCU fans who think it was a disaster. The Academy has never nominated a superhero movie for its top award so it was always going to be an uphill battle for Wonder Woman to become the 1st superhero movie to get that nomination. But Wonder Woman did get nominated by the PGA for Best Theatrical Motion Picture. Given the fact that there have been over 70 superhero movies (including 17 MCU movies) since Superman: The Movie in 1978 and Wonder Woman is only the 3rd superhero movie (after The Dark Knight and Deadpool) to get nominated by the PGA for Best Theatrical Motion Picture, that's an amazing accomplishment that few movies (and no MCU movie) have ever been able to do. Wonder Woman exceeded all expectations at the box office, is ranked #1 on RT's list of Best Superhero Movies of All Time, and was nominated by the PGA for Best Theatrical Motion Picture. An Oscar nomination for Best Picture would've just been icing on the cake. But given all that Wonder Woman has already accomplished (especially after the mudslinging campaign by MCU fans trying to derail Wonder Woman by spreading the false rumor prior to release that the movie was "a complete mess"), the cake is still pretty sweet. And MCU fans should be thanking WB for making Wonder Woman. If WB hadn't announced a Wonder Woman movie in 2014, then MCU would've never made a Captain Marvel movie. And if Wonder Woman hadn't been such a huge success, then MCU would never make a Black Widow movie.
