Hated my first 3 years with a passion, but the last two were somewhat ok.
I really looked forward to high school--and never caused trouble in school, was very much a loner with a few school acquaintances, but a misunderstanding with a miserable teacher on my first day of high school led to three years of bullying by staff--even ridicule in a yearbook! My last two years of high school were at a different school and were better, but also melancholy because I knew it would end and I had trouble adjusting to the responsibilities post-high school. I graduated in 1988. Never attended graduation ceremony or the graduation banquet.
I only maintain contact with one guy I knew from school.

...graduated in the late 1960's...then was promptly drafted into the Military service during the Vietnam War...all kinds of fun...!!! 4F...Asthma and a heart murmur. My day at the draft board started out as the scariest day of my life.....then a horrible lunch....and then a very pleasant afternoon.

I personally hated them. My parents abandoned me during that time when I came out and my best friend's parents wouldn't let her go near me anymore 'cause they thought there was something going on between us (which there actually wasn't back then) but I had some great times with my sister and it was great being free from my parents who made me hate myself when I was young.

1. Loved them? 2. Hated them? 3. Didn't feel too much either way? Oh, and if you don't mind......what class (year) you were part of? SAVE FERRISThey were very important to me.

them1... my induction physical was very humiliating. We were treated like cattle and exactly half of those accepted were sent to the Marine Corps. I ended up in the Army. At that time, we were cannon fodder and boot camp was even more humiliating, if that is imaginable. I survived and am now an advocate for veterans, especially those who suffer from PTSD.
There is a current film out entitled "Thank You For Your Service" which covers the military PTSD problem...but I caution you to be prepared if you want to watch this...

A piece of shit..I hated the high school I was in. It was far from being my school of choice. Those were the wost hellhole years of my life. I had graduated in '06.
My elementary school years were the best for me and vastly superior.

Terrible.
I was severly overweight at a 3 story high school
I was in the wrong version of special ed (my school district had 3 versions). They put me in the correct version my junior year, where only half my classes could be special ed.. but since I was so used to the other version for so long, I couldn't readjust and barely passed
Junior high bullies only decided to be my friend to copy off of me
A girl had a crush on me. And not for looks. She felt because she thought I was ugly, I wouldn't treat her bad due to the fact she felt i was so ugly, I would be so happy any woman would take interst in me that I wouldn't do anything to mess it up.

Overall they were dull, but I did like my friends, minus one.
I suppose I wish I was more open and took more risks.
But I hated middle school.

Class of 2002 here.
The first two years were brutal (10th grade was one of the worst years of my life) and I dealt with everything from a family member passing away, bullies, awkward crushes and poor choices in friends who I should have known better, but my last two years went along better. Overall, it was a mixed bag.
I got to experience some interesting changes/events from 1998-2002 like the rise of the Internet in daily life and 9/11.

High School... outside of some gym class nostalgia, it's pretty much Thumbs Down.
I was never a school type of person in general as I mostly have some nostalgia on say gym class here and there and outside of that they were pretty much a Thumbs Down.
but with that said... I would say high school is generally worse than prior to that especially the change because I finished 8th grade and then we moved to a different school and then 9th grade started.
