He should have been ruled out for writing "should of been" in that tweet! Thick bastard!

Fat Sam. Mark Sampson.
Now, Knobhead Neville.
You would think the old suit wankers at the FA would have learnt by now wouldn't you... Due diligence means nothing to them obviously.
What did they say "Phil Neville has played football and his mum is a woman, he'll do".

Can't stand the bloke but this is nonsense, he complimented women in my book by saying how hard they work in the morning whilst men sit on their arses. People just trying to create a story.

He's never managed, let alone a national side, nor a women's team. He is wholly unqualified. It's pathetic. Add to that, he will only ever now be known for deleting his twitter to cover his wife battering 'joke' (as well as not knowing of from have). The FA should drop him immediately Then go and have a serious discussion with Mo Marley, about what it would take for her to consider taking over permanently. If she can't be persuaded, go talk to some of the many experienced women coaches in Europe.

Ryan Giggs anyone?

I love this, from ex-England goalie Pauline Cope-Boanas: Just imagine for a moment if those words came out of Neville's mouth instead of hers?!?

The problem isn't the digging out of some undoubtedly made in jest tweets by some frothing at the mouth feminists. The problem is that the reverse - i.e. a retired female player who'd never managed being appointed as the England Mens team national coach - could never happen in a million years, nor even could a hugely experienced female coach make a "shortlist" of 10,000! Given that's pretty much unarguable what we have here is case of institutional sexism.

I don't want to live in a world where a couple of flippant remarks on Twitter can define a persons life and character. That is now where we are heading if not there already.

Pauline is a very experienced advocate for the womens game. She can be a bit ham-fisted in the way she speaks, but generally makes a lot of sense. If people like Pauline were in there making these decisions, instead of the old boys network that is the FA, this whole fiasco would have been avoided. England would be announcing a suitably qualified female coach from the many that are out there. She is right here. This is jobs for the boys. Neville has no experience in womens football at any level, let alone taking over the 3rd highest club in the world.

Given that's pretty much unarguable what we have here is case of institutional sexism. When you say frothing at the mouth feminists, you are talking about nearly everyone I have spoken with or heard from that is active in the womens game. After Sampson, they pretty much universally agree that somebody who even jokes about battering his wife has no place managing the national team. I do agree that the whole twitter storm is a huge distraction. A bigger issue is that he is wholly inexperienced. He doesn't even meet the initial job specification. This is a smack in the face for all the hard working qualified experienced womens coaches and managers that are out there. Ps. I'm not against male managers in the womens game. I support a ladies team with a male manager and a mixed gender coaching team... the FA have just got this appointment wrong on every level.

For fucking reals? Calling those comments misogynistic is utterly ridiculous. Mildly chauvinistic maybe, but "despising women?" For FUCK'S Sake.

This PC nonsense has gotten out of hand and dreary. Especially now that women have (rightly) brought out into the open the way some men use their positions to coerce them into all kinds of shit. But many goodlooking women ((and others) dress to draw attention to their physical assets by wearing plunging "look at my tits" necklines and skirts up to their arses. In the current atmosphere, it seems that if you look too long at them, you run the risk of being called out for what your thinking. But that is incitement, surely ? and downright nonsensical. Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot have got it right. When men don't notice and don't "try it on" os the time for a women to worry.
That's my rant for today.

Given that's pretty much unarguable what we have here is case of institutional sexism. Are you kidding me? That is not "institutional sexism", it is just a reflection of the fact that men's football is light years ahead of the women's game in all aspects. Maybe in 100 years it will be different. Today it would be silly to consider a woman for the position of coach of the men's national team of a major footballing nation when there simply isn't any woman who is even close to being qualified for the job.
