Since Aquaman is the next thing that will happen in the DCEU we might as well start predicting now. I'm going to play it safe and say that it will be a moderate success at the box office.

I think it may get around $700m worldwide. This may increase if some Hollywood big shot is exposed for molesting fish.

It's going to win Best Picture Oscar next year.
But really, if this was a new character I can say if it could be a big or moderate success. People tend to be on the "This sucks!" or "Meh!" side of Justice League. Either Aquaman comes out of Justice League being one of the best characters or he goes beyond that movie for his movie. Then you have the years of "Aquman sucks!" The people that didn't see the movie could use him as the excuse of why the movie didn't do well and not see Aquaman.

Yeah I'd say moderate success too, it's not going to pull a Wonder Woman.
I'd guess in the $500 million range.

If the promotions are good and the movie is received better than JL, I’d say $750 million

It will probably be a moderate success since it cost I think $150 or 160M so it's at least less expensive than the likes of Justice League or Batman versus Superman. James Wan is a good director and there hasn't been any negative news from behind the scenes regarding the production. That I've heard of anyway. That being said, it's gonna be a test as to whether people still want to see DC films after Justice League's lackluster box office performance.

The movie could be awesome and rival Wonder Woman for the top spot in the DCEU. It's just the reception of the DCEU that could be holding it back. If the DCEU had as much goodwill as the MCU does then I can say for sure that this movie would be a big success. I think what could help this movie is if they made Flashpoint 1st. Or maybe if they advertise the hell out of it being from the director of Furious 7. Play up that it is not from the same director of previous movies.

DC Fan told me WB are releasing it later in the year to generate more Oscar buzz.

It won't surprise me if they get Justin Lin for one of their next movies. It seems they're moving on to directors who are not what's the word, polarizing or divisive.

If the film is good, probably between 600-700 million.
There's a very possible chance that it could do Ant-Man box office.

I was gonna say moderate excess, but then I remembered James Wan is directing it. Everything the man makes does insane business. He's like the anti-Snyder. Always bet on Wan.

Rob Zombie's Aquaman will be garbage. Check out the horrible remake of Conan the Barbarian if you want to see how Jason Momoa films do at the box office.

I think it'll at least be a moderate success. Most people seem to be a lot more confident about it than they were for Justice League, mainly because of the people involved in making the movie. If it gets very good reviews like Wonder Woman it could also be a big success. A large part will also have to do with the hype level once the movie is released.

At least around $500-$600 million. My estimate is $700-$800 million, as long as they don't put it against any stiff competition.
