I dunno why they didn't just give Superman a bear and longer hair when he was revived.

I'm sure it would've cost less for a fake beard to go along with his real mustache than the CGI on his face...

I dunno why they didn't just give Superman a bear and longer hair when he was revived. Then they'd have to give a reason why he has facial hair while being dead. I don't mean them explaining it would be bad, but they'd have to put in some effort to add the reason in the story.

Or not I mean they didn't explain really anything else in the film why would they need to explain how Superman grew a beard?
Given most people tend to believe the myth that your hair and nails continue to grow once you die it's not a far leap to expect people to assume he's an alien he grows facial hair quicker than humans, instead they made him look like the victim of some back alley plastic surgeon's latest fuck up.
I just wonder why they didn't just say FU to Paramount and shave it anyway and pay whatever petty reimbursement shaving the fucking thing would cost.

I think they should have gone with an empty casket. Have it that he was recovering in the arctic this whole time and the robots were the ones that took him out of the grave. Make it that they still had the recovery program on from when Lex created Doomsday. Since Kal was the only actual Kryptonian on Earth, they went after his body. Have the robots create the Fortress of Solitude and all kinds of doodads for him. I mean he has/had those robots serving him in the Fortress in the comics. Why is it so hard when all the answers are in the comics already. Oh wait. Some like to go against the comics to put their stamp on things.
