2/10. Such a sad strange movie. It's like watching a schizophrenic in a padded room.

7 camp classic with some disturbing truths about it. however this was marginally absurditized
the reality: there was more than one night terror [the wire hangers scene] those happened routinely. there were two christophers and the first one was returned to his mother cause she wanted him back. then came the twin girls who never even made it into the movie's universe.
the abuse was only seen by half the people and all those people said it was aimed at Christopher and Christina and nothing really about the twins who came into 'consciousness' when Christopher and Christina were at chadwick's school.

Disturbing story of childhood abuse and/or comedy camp classic. The book is a disturbing story of childhood abuse. The movie is a camp classic, with a performance by Faye Dunaway that has no classification.
But I enjoyed the film immensely. I give it 8/10.
