What's this quote from ?
"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"
The answer turns out to be rather anti-climatic :
This line is said by Bob Andrews in one of the Three Investigators children's books by Robert Arthur. He and Worthington, the chauffeur, are exploring a cave or some creepy old house and they are attacked by bats.

poelzigI have looked everywhere ... except (obviously) where the answer is !
Remember the old adage : "Jumpeth thou not to conclusions concerning homework and millennial-ness" and that perennial favourite : "Smiles and Snarls are Equally Contagious!"

JK. Do you have anymore information at all? Character or scene description for example? When you saw it? B&W or color? Stuff like that?

poelzigSomeone is using it as their signature and said that they don't know what it means .... I figured that knowing where it is from would help so I came here to ask on the off chance that by some miracle someone would know. No other information available.
Actually when I Googled it ... it came up in several places but none seemed to actually lead anywhere. THUS the birth of this OP.

Latest on the "mystery". I did ask them if they knew where it was from and they said "yes" and left ! So, that's that for the moment.

Wait a moment… I think these were lines from that movie—you know, that one—which starred the singer from Sleuth!

By the way, does it have anything to do with this guy? Just going out on a limb.

You said in another thread : I've had my signature for 14 years and I'm still waiting for someone to explain it to ME.
As such, it seemed like a good idea for an INTK ... my mistake, I guess.

Cokes and all 'round anyway. If nothing else.... It's GROUNDHOG DAY !
I like the spoilered guy idea even if it's not him. Nalkarj. If nothing else, this can go on the Devil's Isle, equine and Sleuth list.

Wait a second, BATouttaheck… A DRAMATIC BREAKTHROUGH! (That damn cap lock again…) What if… what if… Our old Devil’s Island-living friend is actually named Worthington, has someone scream to him about giant bats, causes us to batter that deceased equine, played Capt. What’s-his-name-Lindbergh-knock-off in Murder on the Orient Express, and sang the three songs in Sleuth—and secretly loves The Last of Sheila, just to throw us off the trail? Wow.
