A though I had, will this film likely be the first SW film which doesn't mention The Force in the film? It's unlikely there'd be any force users in the film and therefore unlikely it gets mentioned, although there's always the possibility they'll include some mention of it. - hopefully they don't I'm thinking this may be something of a test run for SW films without The Force.

Hopefully. I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that the Empire seems heavily involved in the plot though. I was expecting to get a film that focused on in the criminal underworld.

You have to have the Empire involved in order to establish the backstory of Han saving Chewie from slavery, but yes, the movie should be more about galactic bandits, with cameo appearances from Jabba, Greedo, Boba Fett and Maz Kanata.

Oh. Do we get to see Han and Chewie meet? I thought Solo began shortly afterwards. A Maz Kanata cameo with a different Han actor might be interesting. Probably not - but maybe. ;B

I just assumed - and hope - that the Empire will only be, at best, a minor part of Solo.

I guess I just assumed.

The scene of Han meeting Beckett (Woody) on the beach is rumored 2 b an old Force worshiping holy place. Will it get a mention though? Not sure.

That sounds somewhat interesting, I've started thinking perhaps old Jedi relics have become big items on the black market and many thieving scoundrels steal and sell them.

One merely hopes the film does something equally or more interesting.

There's got to be a Force-related location, character, item or mention somewhere in Solo. Disney can't help itself. Just look at Chirrut from Rogue One, a.k.a. "Jedi Lite".

I heard a rumour that the chic from GAME OF THRONES (sorry, bad with names) is rumoured to be Force-Sensitive but doesn't disclose this info to Han & co., though it is part of why she's done so well, and also part of why she wants in on stealing a Force-related relic. Granted, the people I heard this from could have been suckin' out of their paws, however it seemed like a cool idea to me.

No lightsaber battles either, which set the movie apart from the others in a good way.

Well technically Rogue One doesn't have the force either. Some characters mention the force, but no one uses it.

During Rogue One Vader didn't force choke Krennic or use the force on Rebels at the end..?

Most people in the universe are not force sensitive/have a low Midi-chlorian count. I'm happy we took a break from The Force. Plus this really sets this movie apart from The Last Jedi that just came out half a year ago.
