And how can you be sure that there isn't a God ?

And how can you be sure that there isn't a God ? No one can be sure of either condition. They could only logically deduce which is more likely given the evidence (or lack thereof) in hand.

Well, they may be “sure” in as much as they have convinced themselves of what is “true” in spite of the evidence. People are often “sure” of a lot of things that turn out to be wrong in the end. Being sure is a matter of perception and confidence in what you believe, not necessarily what is true in reality.

I agree with this, for the most part. I would delete "in spite of the evidence" in order to make it truer still (to be fair, there are plenty of instances where people have been sure and where the evidence thus discovered heavily pointed to their correctness, but, in fact, it turns out they were wrong), but I agree with the spirit of the overall comment. My confidence in the sureness of God existing is fully based on my personal experience and personal perception.

And how can you be sure that there isn't a God ? Trying to prove a negative is pointless. That's why I feel everyone is either an agnostic theist or an agnostic atheist.

God speaks audibly to me and the reason I know it's God and not my mind playing tricks is because God has a better vocabulary than me and he used words I didn't know and I had to look them up later.

Because we know something can't just come from nothing and produce everything. Non-life can't just produce life. Randomness can't just produce fine-tuning. Chaos can't just produce information. Unconsciousness can't produce consciousness. And non-reason can't produce reason.

I had to look that up too. Nope I'm not. Well, dang it, it's not a very funny joke if you don't know what a Pentecostal is. Maybe I should have used Apostolic as my punch line.

I'm on the fence...
Scientists can't explain how our Complex Universe came into existence, and that is because... it coming together out of complete randomness, is less likely than it being engineered.
Also 0 + 0 does NOT = 1. There had to be something that came before... Some have proposed (gravity waves?). Fine. But gravity waves is still something. So, where did those gravity waves come from?
I think too many people are locked into one idea of what God is. The God from the Bible... Who is to say that it wasn't a race of aliens beings that set off the Big Bang, to see what would happen. Perhaps something like the Genesis Device seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, only that device was something on a much grander scale...
Common Now... Be Honest Here... THE TRUTH IS... For some reason, people think because that because Mankind went to the Moon, we are "know it alls". But, every day, scientist discover new things, proving that we really don't know Shit about anything... Maybe "God" exited, maybe not. At this moment, there is no way for us to know. NO ONE KNOWS where the end of the universe is, or what is outside it. So, Maybe that is the only place where the evidence of "God's" existence cane be found...
At this time, I don't believe there is anyway for anyone to know for sure.
For now, All that people have is their beliefs to guide them in getting their answers about life. Either belief in religion. Or belief in science.
I don't understand, why we can't have a little bit of both.

Look up a video of Pentecostals "speaking in tongues" and maybe you'll get a late-blooming grin out of it at least.
