You might want to plug some actual numbers in though. The three nations with low scores there have a combined population of 110,000,000. Pakistan alone has over 200,000,000. Indonesia scores 72% and has over 260,000,000, so those two nations give you around 360,000,000 in favour of sharia. Thats about a quarter of all Muslim Worldwide from two nations. Its actually Cody who has to plug in the data since he’s the one making the claim (burden of proof and all). And that would include plugging in ALL the numbers from countries like India, China, and Russia (countries with tens of millions of Muslims for which there is NO data on this question). In particular attention should be paid to westernized countries where secular law has commonly been practiced. Because that’s really what’s relevant as it compared to our own society. How do most Muslim Americans or Muslim Canadians feel about Sharia as the law of the land? And I think you’ll find that like Christians (who’s religious views are often influenced by their own culture), Muslim ideology varies based on the type of cultural norms they are accustomed to. Well, Bangladesh adds in about another 120,000,000, taking the figure upto almost 33% of Muslims globally. Nigeria adds another 40,000,000 Afghanistan another 30,000,000. Egypt about 70,000,000, Iraq about 20,000,000. Thats 640,000,000. almost half. So it requires a very low percentage in the rest of the Islamic World to disprove Cody's assertion based on the Pew Data. According to this its 23% in the UK www.gatestoneinstitute.org/7861/british-muslims-survey[/quote] I can't find figures for the US except from the Center for Security Policy, which doesn't seem reliable.

Oh really? What “evidence” would that be exactly? Because the evidence I’ve found flat out refutes your claim. Pew Research Center survey of Muslims in 39 countries asked Muslims whether they want sharia law, a legal code based on the Quran and other Islamic scripture, to be the official law of the land in their country. Responses on this question vary widely. Nearly all Muslims in Afghanistan (99%) and most in Iraq (91%) and Pakistan (84%) support sharia law as official law. But in some other countries, especially in Eastern Europe and Central Asia – including Turkey (12%), Kazakhstan (10%) and Azerbaijan (8%) – relatively few favor the implementation of sharia law.Pew Research Center Keep in mind those are all Muslim majority countries! Click the link he provided and this is what you will find: ------////- Support for Sharia % of Muslims who favour making Sharia the official law in their country: Malaysia 86% Thailand 77% Indonesia 72% Afghanistan 99% Pakistan 84% Bangladesh 82% Iraq 91% Palestinian terr 89% Morocco 83% Egypt 74% Jordan 71% Tunisia 56% Niger 86% Djibouti 82% DR Congo 74% Nigeria 71% Uganda 66% Ethiopia 65% Mozambique 65% Kenya 64% Mali 63% Ghana 58% Senegal 55% Cameroon 53% Liberia 53% I will no longer be wasting my time on someone as disingenuous as that.

Cody™I've seen that stuff before which is why I simply concentrated on the largest nations.

A Christian fundamentalist advertizing a Muslim fundamentalist, by encouraging us to click a Muslim fundie propaganda video and increasing its count?
Thanks for confirming what I suspected all along: Christian and Muslim fundies are very much alike. They want the same thing: Theocratic societies with few rights for individuals; especially women, homosexuals and apostates.

I think you’re missing my point (all three of them). 1) I don’t have to “disprove” anything. Cody™ has to PROVE his claim. One need not prove a negative! 2) Since most Muslims in the Middle East and Africa already live under a version of Sharia law anyway, what’s relevant is how most Muslims living in the westernized world feel. Do most American, Canadian, British, Australian, German, and French Muslims want the law of the land to be sharia law? If that could be proved then Cody might have more of a reason to fear it. If not, then it’s paranoia because Muslims opinion of Sharia in Bangladesh has no bearing on his life. 3) Even if 90% of Muslims in America wanted Sharia law, that still leaves 100,000 people who do not, but that Cody™ still hates them and their religion regardless because he’s lumped all of them into the same category, “Muslims”. Basically the same thing the current US President has done. That is incredibly hypocritical of him considering that he’s attacked me and accused me of hating Christianity on another thread (despite the fact that I do not lump all Christians in the same category). Maybe you should ask Cody™ why he’s now suddenly afraid to answer anymore questions on something HE brought up? All of a sudden it’s a “waste of time” when his hypocrisy is uncovered.

This guy's views represent just one of the reasons why I detest Islam and think any civilised society should do its upmost to prevent it from spreading in the west. Listen to the piece of shit in the video, leftists, then tell us again how Islamic diversity and cultural enrichment are beneficial things and anybody who opposes it is an "Islamophobic" bigot. This is the kind of attitude we're inviting to these shores. I find it interesting you have not responded to the video that cupcakes linked, why is that not as much damning evidence against Christianity as your video is regarding Islam?

His mention of Leviticus is made redundant by the fact that Christians are not under the old covenant. Romans 1 is warning of God's wrath against all sinners, not just homosexuals. He also clarifies that he doesn't advocate the death penalty for homosexuals to be implemented today. So to sum up his sermon message seems to be a call for homosexuals and sinners in general to repent before it's too late. Nothing wrong with that teaching. I agree with him and commend him for that.

Wow I commend you for sticking to your stance, you believe that calling for the death of homosexuals is a Christian thing. You know I rail against ever calling anyone not a Christian, but I am ashamed to share the moniker with the likes of you.

And sorry to burst your bubble, brother, but you are in fact a heretic thus not a Christian. You harbour some very peculiar views in complete violation to accepted orthodox doctrine. It's almost as if you've made up your own diluted liberal imaginary self-serving form of Christianity which appeals to your own ideals.

I am only a heretic according to your interpretation of Christianity, sorry, but there is no other way around that. And yes he modifies it by saying that he does not want it right now. If I want a million dollars tomorrow I still want a million dollars. Spin it any way you want to avoid the truth, but you think a good representation of Christianity is to want homosexuals to be put to death.
