You are given three buttons. One wins you $1 billion (tax free) if you push it. One makes you immortal if you push it. One kills you immediately. You obviously don't know which button is which, and you can only push one.
Would you play?

If it can be proven there's an afterlife, then sure I'd play.

Hell yeah. 2 of the 3 are jackpots so I like my chances.

I really don't value money enough to risk my life either.

No, I only like 1 out the 3 options. If I liked 2 out of the 3 then yes I would.

Wow, good question. Probably not, as only the money option seems good, unless you can define immortal. If it just means you can't die due to aging but can still die from other ways, then that's good, but if it means you can't die at all, that's bad, and doesn't make sense.
If it's the former, then that would give me more incentive to press the button. But still, a 1/3 chance of death seems too risky. But then again, imagine all the good you can do with $1 billion. It would feel kind of selfish not to take the risk of death in order to help so many people with that money.

Why not take a chance on it being in luxury? Hell yeah...I'd play!

No. I’ve seen too many twilight zone episodes to assume I can win even if I do actually win.

Immortality with eternal youth seem an attractive option. But still I don't like to end up being alone (I've watched The Age of Adaline). I only like the $1 billion (tax free) option. I'll push a button if and only if my situation was dire.

If the third button would give you a quick and painless death, then yes.

If you ask me this question in my first 5 waking minutes of any given day, my answer would usually be no. After some interaction with the world, any other time is up for grabs.

When it comes to gambling, I've never been lucky. I've been playing X-Lotto for over 30 years and so far... Sweet FA.

How would immortality work? What happens when our planet becomes uninhabitable? Or when the sun swallows up the earth altogether. Talk about your twilight zone curses.

Well having myself killed is 1/3 of a chance, and that’s still a plenty amount. But it’s not as likely as getting either of the other two. I’ll play.

I imagine that being immortal would be you would still be able to live on our "uninhabitable" planet. You would just be by yourself. The planet would still be there. When the sun "swallows up" the Earth, or rather burns it to a crisp before eating it up I would guess you would see the sun from the inside. Unless you find a way to get off world and go to other planets. I suppose every few millennium you'd have to pack up and move to another solar system. Then after all the millennia when all the entire universe has been burned out and nothing is left you would be alone floating in the void of what was the universe.
