This was headed for 5/10 territory but the ending really bumped it up a bit. I know we're not supposed to like Tree as a character, but I didn't like the actress playing her. There was some good comedy thrown in, and the film didn't take itself too seriously. 7/10

Glad you enjoyed it. I sure did. Perhaps one of the few slasher movies that best develops the protagonist.

I liked it. I thought it was enjoyable overall, and I liked the film's structure.
SPOILERS
One thing I didn't like was her solution to stop the hospital killer. Holding a knife on a guard and stealing his gun is gonna put you in jail. Plus, it would be logical for people to assume that she let the killer go. That was a bad idea.
Also, although I liked the sequence where she is trying to figure out the identity of the killer, it would have been nice to see Tree attempt to buy a gun (or any offensive weapon) earlier in the film. It was weird that she was okay with getting killed over and over again without putting up much of a fight.
I agree with you about Tree too. I didn't like the casting.

A goof that I liked was each day she writes out the same list of suspects with the same names crossed out. Why?? As for the ending, she's hanging out with Carter hours after killing the killer. Wouldn't she still be held by the cops on potential murder charge? They don't analyze stuff for poisons THAT quickly

Yeah, I thought about that too. It's things like that that bug me, but overall I enjoyed the film. I just wish they hadn't tried to eat their cake and have it too.

This movie is one of my proud "called it" moments because I knew who the killer was after their first scene. Is that what bumped up the rating for you, or the fact that they finally acknowledged Groundhog Day? Anyway, it's a cute movie. Though "cute" really shouldn't be the word I use to describe a slasher film. Sorely missing that R rating. I mean, it's a slutty sorority girl getting killed over and over - if any movie calls for gore and T&A, it's this.

I also wondered how they thought they'd get away with it if their original plan worked.

I really liked it, more than I thought I would. I don't think of it as a slasher movie though, which was what I was expecting. Instead, it came off as more of a mystery/comedy that was more fun than I was anticipating and with a protagonist that I cared about, and wanted her to figure things out and have a happy ending. 7/10, I'll probably give it a re-watch on video.

This movie totally sucked... As it was coming to a close, I decided that I would give it 2/10... but when they mentioned Groundhog Day within the movie, I dropped it back to a 1... that was incredibly lame.
This movie was HORRIBLE. Unless you haven't seen very many horror/slasher movies, with or without some comedy, I just can't imagine how anyone can think this was good.

I found it fairly entertaining but I have to admit, I deliberately went into it with my brain switched firmly off.
I had a feeling that would be the best way to watch and get the most from it and would stand by that having now seen the film.
If you're looking for something mildly amusing to pass the time with a couple of toes dipped in the horror genre and the rest in teen comedy/fantasy, this is a fun way to entertain yourself and wolf down the popcorn.
Anyone expecting an edgy or challenging horror film laden with suspense, atmosphere or scares won't find it here and gorehounds would be better off elsewhere too.
This would make a fitting double bill with THE FINAL GIRLS as the two movies are very kindred spirits.

Watched it with a friend who found the whole day-repeating thing to be super-annoying. I didn't mind it, but I did suffer some serious deja vu because I'd just watched Naked (2017) earlier in the week...which also does the whole day-repeating thing. I thought Jessica Rothe as Tree was quite good. I see that there is a sequel already due in 2019, also starring Jessica Rothe. I did guess the true killer near the beginning but then disregarded that idea as the movie went on. I must say, I really liked the baby-face mask the killer wore, creepy!

I thought it was okay. Not a whole lot of horror in it, but the protagonist's development as a character was done well and the mystery behind the identity of the killer was quite interesting. I'd give it a 6/10.

Yet another thing the terminal stupidity of the sjw movement has ruined.

Jeez. The movie is generally pretty dumb, but I don't think any one would claim it was overly politically correct. That really wasn't one of its problems. It did have problems though. It was dumb in a lot of ways. It skated on that well enough because it was slickly shot and put together, it somewhat made sense of its premise, and I thought the cast was generally decent. But mostly it embraced the silliness. If this went for a serious tone it would have completely fallen on its face, but I let it slide on some of the dumber parts because the kind of light air about it. Ultimately though it's pretty mediocre, but that's better than might have been expected from a Blumhouse ripoff off the Groundhog Day concept.
