Platypus. We've had one in a cartoon (Perry from Phineas and Ferb) but not one in an animated feature!

Naked mole rats? Or does Rufus from Kim Possible already count for that?

Disclaimer: I have seen very few animated features not made in America, so if any of these critters have turned up in anime, for instance, I'm not aware of it. Armadillo (especially the Pink Fairy Armadillo, which has silky hair peeking out from underneath its scales) Pangolin Giant Anteater (the South American one with the super-bushy tail) Porcupine Tapir African Bush Dog (not exactly friendly pups--maybe they could be villains) Wildebeest (unless a herd of them trampling poor Mufasa to death counts) Wallaby Manatee Vulture or Buzzard Whale shark (gentle giant creatures very unlike their Great White cousins) I'm sure I could think of more, but these will do for now.

An armadillo appeared in RANGO and a tapir was in The Wild Life.

ellynmacgBeaky Buzzard"Beaky Buzzard is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He is a young turkey vulture (commonly called a "buzzard" in the United States) with black body feathers and a white tuft around his throat. His neck is long and thin, bending 90 degrees at an enormous Adam's apple. His neck and head are featherless, and his beak is large and yellow or orange, depending on the cartoon. The character is depicted as simpleminded with drawled speech, a perpetual silly grin, and partially-closed eyes."

By the way, I just remembered some vultures who did play at least a featured role in a Disney animated feature: the three blokes--obviously capitalizing on music's British Invasion who harmonized with Mowgli in The Jungle Book! Dunno how I could forget those chaps... Well, I must plead guilty to not having seen Rango. Maybe one of these days I'll check it out. As for the tapir, did he/she/it play a featured role?

ellynmacgAh, but did Beaky Buzzard ever figure prominently in an animated feature?
He was the star of several short films which lets him out of the OP's "Animals that haven't been featured in an animated movie". As for the tapir, did he/she/it play a featured role?No idea about any tapir (featured or otherwise)

As for the tapir, did he/she/it play a featured role?No idea about any tapir (featured or otherwise) I think your idea of what constitutes a feature-length movie differs from mine, BAT--so let's just agree to differ. Anyway, I happen to be a fan of Beaky Buzzard ("I'm bringin' home a baby bumblebee..."), so far be it from me to deny him his moment in the spotlight. You will notice, I hope, that I conceded my error regarding vultures/buzzards with my comment about the trio of singing ones in the animated Jungle Book. Okay? As you recall, you were not the poster who mentioned a tapir. Blame the confusion on my trying to respond to more than one comment at a time.

I don't think a capybara has ever been portrayed in an animated feature film.

Probably too many to list. But the Galapagos finches and chinchillas have come to mind.
