If I recall, at least from the comics, part of Thanos's motivation of wanting the stones and destroying the universe is to "court" Death, who is a female in the comic series. And it looks like they may be following that course in the series as she was mentioned in the post-credit scene of the first Avenger film. Not sure if she's the actual manifestation of Death -the Grim Reaper- we know, but it'd be cool if we see her at some point. But you need someone who can perform well off from Josh Brolin. Off the top of my head, I think Kate Winslet would be a great choice.

Isn't Hela Goddess of Death? From the little I know about it, Hela and Death are separate characters. Hela is the Asgardian Goddess of Death. Death is a entity and the physical manifestation of death.

Kat Dennings. Just leave the make-up off. Nobody will recognize he was in in the Thor movies. ![](https://s26.postimg.org/6h2ujupw9/nope.gif)

Marvel has already announced that there will be no Death character. They have taken Thanos in a different direction and changed his back story.

Marvel has already announced that there will be no Death character. They have taken Thanos in a different direction and changed his back story. That sucks big time since the sole motivator of Thanos is to gain the admiration of lady Death in Infinity Gauntlet. Had a strong feeling Disney would have never touched the Death character as its overly dark and not family friendly. They did similar thing in the Silver Surfer cartoon changing her name to lady Chaos so little kiddies would not be frightened.

That is sad they won't have her, although they kind of did a similar thing with Hela/Skurg in THOR:RAGNAROK didn't they? Cause in the comics, I think Skurg had a serious thing for Hela and he was more of a plaything for her, a useful toy, while his main motivation was always to please her and win her over, till he dies holding the bridge to Valhalla against her when he realizes she's just been using him and stringing him along? Yet in the new movie, he's an incompetent who wishes to be remembered, ends up sticking with her but feels guilty, then goes down in a blaze of glory worthy of sending him to Valhalla.
It would have been cool to see Thanos, whom everyone has been so quaking in their boots over, being a lovesick puppet to a bigger, badder, scarier female character, who was this ultimate power/villain. Sad, really. Such a wasted opportunity.

Uh, no. It should "be just" a faithful adaptation of the source material if possible. Derp.

Eva Green.
Marvel won't give Hawkeye the helmet, so they probably won't give Thanos the lady death.

The goddess of death being resurrected as Death wouldn't be too outrageous a change for them. I disagree. I think it's fine to change stuff if there are legal issues (e.g., can't use a FoX-Men or Spider-Man character) or some sort of political or other consideration (i.e., the character or storyline promotes racial or sexist stereotypes or would be otherwise offensive to modern audiences) and they've no other alternatives, but they should strive to adapt faithfully if possible, especially in the case like this where there's two totally different characters. It wouldn't be "outrageous," no. But it would be a needless and pointless change.

Is there a female equivalent to Doug Jones? ![](https://movies948.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/wp-1475638327588.jpeg) www.imdb.com/name/nm2070336/?ref_=tt_cl_t6 <-- You should check her out. She's on WESTWORLD now, the first thing I saw her in was HERCULES where she played Atalanta, and you totally believed she could take Hercules (Dwayne J.) and the whole team. www.imdb.com/name/nm1154749/?ref_=tt_cl_t9 <--This woman may actually be Doug Jones, from another reality/timeline who accidentally ended up here so she could be in a STAR TREK movie.
