Nay. American football catching on in Europe is a pipe dream. Exhibition, all for it. It's a handicap for the few teams that are forced to do it.

Nay in American Football, and I don't care either way for other sports. There are only 8 regular season home games in an NFL year. To lose one of them so your team can play in London or Mexico or wherever is a disservice to the team's fans.

This was prompted by the asinine plan for Yankees/Red Sox in London next year. Pretty certain you can't relocate a franchise to Europe for a whole baseball season, so why bother playing any regular season games there?

I'm not up on Sunday when the games happen so it's pointless to me personally. For the players sake, it seems like a bull shit hassle.

Fun to have a 9 am game on and to watch kickers try to make FGs on that turf. Otherwise, no. Teams get screwed out of genuine home games and have ridiculous travel.

As someone who lives abroad - regular season games are infinitely better than “exhibition” games. It’s the feel and knowing it counts that makes it worthwhile. Having seen a few ‘foreign’ games here in Sydney - I’m of the opinion it’s a competitive game or it’s nothing. I’m not forking out hard earned dollars for a pre season trial or an exhibition game....

Nay. The way things are now no need as you can watch anything anywhere on your tv or computer. Teams have pre-season tours also in Asia, North America which should suffice.

I'm all for it. In Oz, the AFL does it, selling games to NZ and, more recently, China. In NRL, there's an NZ team so there's overseas games every week: either an NZ team playing in Oz or an Oz team over there. Super Rugby is a 15 team comp with teams from Oz, NZ, Saffer, Argentina and Japan.
You don't grow your game by looking inward, and like Bob said, why am I going to fork out $120 to see an exhibition game? Give me the real thing or I'm nit interested. Only soccer fans are stupid enough to pay big money for some nothing exhibition friendly. And watching on TV, you can see exactly why they're called that.

No, I think it sucks. As if these greedy ass owners don't have enough billions, they want to create an NFL franchise in London or Mexico.
Does anyone really want to see a foreign country holding up the Lombardi trophy after winning the Superbowl (with all American players) saying they're the best in the world?

I cannot state how much I want to see this. I’ve seen the butthurt when New England wins the SB. Imagine the meltdown if Old England wins.....
