8/10 I enjoyed it. A nice homage to Pierce Brosnan's Bond years, but a much more darker and of course, R-rated version. Good action, solid story. Hope we get a sequel

Good. The plot is solid, the action interesting and the production values fairly good for a relatively low budget. Brosnan has a commanding presence and his character's resourcefulness holds one's attention. The supporting cast is fine, but Bracey is a bit off in some scenes. Some intriguing aspects of Brosnan's character are hinted at but not explored with enough detail. (Particularly in the scene which he holds the girl at knifepoint. Also, I don't think his sinister behavior in that scene is properly reconciled with his demeanor as a well-adjusted family man in other scenes.) I'd be interested to see the character developed further in a sequel.

Its one of my favorite action movies of all time and one of my favorite spy movies.
Pierce definitely still has the It factor to be an action star.

Generic boring thriller that is mildly elevated by Brosnan.
4.5/10

If I had to guess, I'd give it a 2/5. I wrote a review for this film a couple years ago.
November Man (2014)
A veteran spy (Pierce Brosnan) is drawn out of retirement in order to help extract a woman who possesses damning evidence against the presumptive future president of Russia, but all is not as it seems.
... because this movie has absolutely no regard for logic. Shifting alliances, plot contrivances, none of it makes any sense. I knew this was a dog when, less than twenty minutes in, a civilian's chased by FSB -- stock bad guys wearing black ball caps with guns drawn -- and Bond immediately slaughters two of them. A woman hops in his car, her first question: What are you doing here? They're being chased by armored SUVs by guys who mean business. Her second question: "How's Lucy?"
On the plus side, this movie has a cool title, Olga Kurylenko in a legs-up-to-her-neck dress, and it was sold to me as spy-vs-spy, the veteran vs. the trainee. It's not near as good as the one from about ten years ago with Tommy Lee Jones and Benecio Del Toro (The Hunted). Of course, Brosnan can pull off the whole debonair alcoholic, homicidal psychopath in his sleep; however, this character's less charming and more psychotic than Bond. The young buck they have playing the trainee lacks gravitas.
I will happily watch derivative movies involving spies, but it's the stupidity I can't stand.
