It's gonna be Nightmare, ruler of the Nightmare Realm. And Baron Mordo is returning as well. MovieWeb shared quotes from a Q&A Cargill recently did at a movie screening, where he confirmed that Nightmare – the ruler of the Nightmare Realm and Dream Dimension – is going to be the villain for Doctor Strange 2. This is something that Derrickson’s has long expressed interest in, but now we know for certain that they intend to follow through. That decision does mean that Baron Mordo’s (Chiwetel Ejiofor) antagonistic turn at the end of the first movie won’t be the focus, but he’s still going to be very much involved. “Me and Scott have not laid the groundwork for it but what I can say is that I have a feeling that whatever Nightmare is involved with, Baron Mordo, being somebody who considers himself the defender of natural law will have something to do with it.” screenrant.com/doctor-strange-2-villain-story-nightmare-mordo/

Cool.
Mark Hamill voiced him once, maybe they can ask him to do it here too.

That's awesome! I know that Scott mentioned that he wanted to use Nightmare back during the press tour for Doctor Strange so I'm happy to hear that they're going through with it.
Scott has a background in the Horror genre so Nightmare definitely a perfect choice. Plus I've been wanting a MCU film that tackles the Horror genre.

Nightmare is basically Freddy Kruger time 1000, maybe they could ask Robert Englund to voice him.

Speaking of Robert Englund I've always thought he would have made a great Scarecrow. Especially back in his prime!

It’s good that Mordo returns because he was good. I’d still like him to be the main villain.

Nightmare sounds good, but Cumberbatch should use his British accent in the next one--First movie had great visual effects and a good villain, and Tilda Swinton's death scene was beautifully done

I haven’t seen the film since at the cinema and don’t recall the performance.

Imagine if POTA made gags about the Monkees like Dr. Strange did about Beyoncé. There was unnecessary cheesiness in it. It’s a legitimate criticism.

There was unnecessary cheesiness in it. It’s a legitimate criticism. They DID do gags, like having the Three Ape Doctors do the "See no Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil" poses.
