I trust you've all enjoyed your day of feasting and pagan symbology (the eggs, the chicks, bunnies, lambs, etc) all in honour of the goddess Ēostre - the Goddess of Fertility! I know that we certainly over-indulged ourselves here! That is the true and original meaning of Easter afterall isn't it?

I had omelettes, scallops, Barramundi, King Prawns and chocolate cake with dark chocolate Malteasers on it and a suitable number of candles, much singing and shenanigans. MOTH is getting me two new laying hens for a gift when the shops open.

You do realize, of course, that in non-anglo-saxon languages (such as English & German, etc), that the name of the holiday comes from 'Passover,' don't you?

Happy Birthday, Goz. Thanks babe~ I am now older and wiser Did you know that in January, the World Health Organization declared that 65 years old is still to be regarded as being a youth (66 years is when you become middle-aged now, apparently). That means that I am still a youth (I'm 47 years old. Turned 47 in February). You're Still A Youth At Age 65 Years!!!
