MCU Dictator Kevin Feige has admitted that most of MCU's movies are influenced by Superman: The Movie.
Feige noted that he’s made a practice to rewatch the perfect origin story before they begin every MCU production:
"Superman: The Movie is still to this day the archetype of the perfect superhero film origin story and we watch it before we make almost any one of our films, and that’s been the case for the past seventeen years since I left the fold to go work for Marvel."
Now some MCU fans are trying to argue that if MCU movies copied Superman: The Movie, then MCU movies must be great movies like Superman: The Movie is. Or if MCU movies are bad, then Superman: The Movie must be bad too.
But once again, that's a flawed argument by MCU fans. Most people would agree that A Perfect Murder copied Dial M for Murder and would also agree that A Perfect Murder isn't as great a movie as Dial M for Murder is. Another example: Total Recall (2012) copied Total Recall (1990), but Total Recall (2012) isn't as good as Total Recall (1990).
So as you can see, it's very possible for a movie to copy another movie but not be as great or as good as the movie that it copied. And that's exactly the case with MCU movies. MCU movies copied Superman: The Movie, but MCU movies are nowhere as great as Superman: The Movie is.
Also, it just kills formersamhmd to admit that MCU owes its existence to Superman: The Movie and without Superman: The Movie, there would be no MCU.

You are so eager to look foolish that you made a whole thread to highlight your illogical claim? That's ballsy. Obviously Marvel did not remake S:TM at any point. You cited a remake as an example. So that falls apart immediately. Marvel never made a story that follows the story in S:TM. So that means your claim is that Marvel copied the style or tone of S:TM. You claim that Marvel does not make their movies with the same style and tone of S:TM so you really look foolish here. You are trying to have it both ways and it just won't work. Either claim Marvel copied S:TM or claim they do it differently. Pick one.

Most movies are made because of other movies success.
The DCEU wouldn't have existed if not for the success of the MCU. The MCU wouldn't have existed if not for the success of other Marvel properties like Spider-man and X-men, Spider-man and X-men wouldn't have existed if not for the success of other superhero movies like Superman and Batman. Superman wouldn't have existed if not for the success of something else prior.
Most Boxing movies wouldn't have been made without Rocky. Most Shark movies wouldn't have been made without Jaws. Most slasher movies wouldn't have been made without Halloween. Most animated movies wouldn't have been made without Snow White. The Star Trek movies wouldn't have been made without Star Wars.
That applies to books, games, cartoons, everything.

Well duh. It's like making a giant monster movie but saying it's not inspired by Godzilla.

Superman is still my favorite superhero movie of all time. It's beautiful, epic, and breathtaking.
That being said, you have to get over this obsession with the MCU, DC-Fan. It's not healthy.

DC-Fan screws up again by mischaracterizing the argument he is trying to refute.
Is it stupidity or dishonesty? You decide.
DC-Fanboys list of greatest superhero movies of all time puts Superman at #18 ... behind nine superior MCU movies.

Most people suddenly stop going back in time when it's convenient of course.

So basically the MCU is completely unoriginal and already in desperate need of a reboot.

So basically the XCU is a total game-changer everyone wants a piece of. Fixed. Agreed. That's why Disney bought their competition -- out of fear and respect.

All the X-Films have for Oscars is Logan's Pity Nomination. The other MCU films have their Noms too.

Why don’t mods just ban people like DC-fan and summers8? Technically they're not doing anything that goes against the Terms of Service aka the following. "You represent and warrant that you shall not use the Website or Services to upload, post, transmit, display, perform or distribute any content, information or materials that: (a) are libelous, defamatory, abusive, or threatening, excessively violent, harassing, obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or pornographic; (b) constitute child pornography; (c) solicit personal information from or exploit in a sexual or violent manner anyone under the age of 18; (d) incite, encourage or threaten physical harm against another; (e) promote or glorify racial intolerance, use hate and/or racist terms, or signify hate towards any person or group of people; (f) glamorize the use of hard core illegal substances and drugs; (g)" Essentially from most of you guys perspective they're just annoying trolls who hate on the Marvel movies but it's not exactly against the rules.
