I don't see anyone here ripping into the Donner films. Maybe they would be if this thread wasn't about Avengers: Infinity War. Also, the two people who replied to your post (myself included) were highly critical of Superman. I called it shitty writing and haunted knight said the film sucked. Anyways, I'm pretty sure they'll kill off at least 1 character in this movie. This is the culmination of 10 years worth of stuff and everyone knows it, which is why they held off on killing anyone else thus far.

A ton of people are going to die because there have to be stakes in an event this big. And yes, I do believe some characters will return from the dead. But we will lose a few big names for good. Cap and Iron Man will become legacy characters in the movies with other characters taking up the persona after Steve and Tony's deaths (whenever that happens, and to be honest I hope it's IW).

You mean like how X-Men won't kill off Xavier or Magneto? They killed off Xavier in Logan.

Total cop-out.

Your dissmisive answer of saying it was an A.U future is the real cop out. And there's strong hints the timeline is in fact the same as X1 because they talk about the Liberty Island incident. They also had the guts to kill Xavier in X3. And the films in general have had a lot of good guys die from the result of a villainous actions like Azazel, Darwin, Banshee, John Wraith, Jean Grey, Angel, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Havoc.

Your dissmisive answer of saying it was an A.U future is the real cop out. No, it isn't. If they did some AU future where Tony died of old age or a heart attack or whatever and it was about an Adult Peter Parker attending his funeral you'd say that was a cop-out because it's not in the present day. It's not, they said it was an AU. He should've stayed dead and never come back. But he came back in the post-credit scene. None focused on enough to care, Jean SHOULD'VE stayed dead though. The MCU's killed off plenty of characters in the same fashion too that no one brings up.
