Nice Mersehside derby to kick off the weekends fixtures, Liverpool are on a high after an impressive dismantling of City earlier in the week in the CL so should be confident going into the derby, Salah is a doubt and may not be fully fit after picking up a knock.
Everton are in decent form at mid table and seem to have found their feet of late.
2 - 1 to Liverpool.
12:30 KO.

Something or other to Liverpool.
Everton haven't won against them for 8 years. Can't see that changing today.

Nearly three points difference in the match book which seems a bit doolally given the starting line ups. It's down to the Everton crowd, the players and pure tradition to set Everton's ship a-sail here. Leave the chomping of gum duties to Big Sam. Meanwhile Klopp comes out with one of the funniest pre-match statements I've heard all season : "We need fresh legs so that’s why we’ve made changes, I don’t know exactly how many we’ve made. Everton deserve all our respect and we know it will be a tough game.” So much respect, in fact, that he doesn't know how many of his own players he's replaced. It's only Everton, after all lol
Everton (4-3-3) Pickford; Coleman, Jagielka, Keane, Baines; Rooney, Schneiderlin, Davies; Walcott, Tosun, Bolasie. Substitutes: Robles, Martina, Gueye, Niasse, Funes Mori, Calvert-Lewin, Baningime.
Liverpool (4-3-3) Karius; Clyne, Lovren, Van Dijk, Klavan; Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Mane, Ings, Solanke. Substitutes: Mignolet, Firmino, Moreno, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Masterson, Alexander-Arnold, Jones.
Everton 11/4 Liverpool 11/10 Draw 5/2

Hopefully the ref won't be card happy. I'm going for a scrappy 2-1 for Everton. We haven't won a derby in 8 years so we have to win one at some point. Neither side really needs the win. We are safe and Liverpool just about guaranteed a top 4 finish. Plus Liverpool have their eyes on a bigger prize and the CL match on Tuesday. Up 3 nil but if any team can overcome that deficit it is Man City at home.

I've changed my prediction from 2-1 to 1-1. I'm gonna be so angry if it ends up 2-1 now, which is precisely why I hate changing my predictions, and now I don't know whether to change it back again, ah fuck it!

Should be 2 nil up already, don't think Solanke's gonna cut it for us. Madness in the rain!

Everton should have made that pressure at the end tell, but nevermind, 10 points for me which might turn out to be crucial at the end of the season.

Two things to take from that game:
•Everton are shit. •Without Salah and Firmino, Liverpool are shit.

Fair result. I suppose if anyone deserved to win in the last few minutes it would have been Everton.
